Your prices are good. Point of sale good, however it all goes wrong after the sale has been made. No contact with customer about delays of order. Customer has to chase their purchase constantly. Delivery 2 weeks late. Communication poor. Then invoice sent again even though payment was made at the time of the order. Delivery advice sent again too after delivery was made!!

Slow delivery, not enough notice of delivery, time slots not adhered to, not delivering complete order.

"Delivery"? The worst delivery ever in counted, 5 days turns into 6 still no delivery so cancelled part of order still waiting for rest of delivery 13 days later a distance of 2.2 miles

Easy to use website made ordering easy, however the delivery of the goods was a long process. Having chased the items twice, they were eventually delivered by a very helpful driver. Would have given more stars but waiting 9 days for the goods meant I had an unhappy customer.

Good at delivering an order but stitch you up with a £50 return collection fee on top of a new delivery fee for more product even though the returned goods go back in the same delivery van! Will not take payment for orders for collection and expect you to go to the shop pay and then return at a later date to collect.

Long wait for delivery and not given any priority so work was not completed on time or schedule disappointed

We are sorry that you are disappointed on the lead time you had experienced. The product you ordered had a rush of sales that was abnormal to the forecasts and had gone out of stock (looks like due to the good weather we had experienced earlier than anticipated). We had kept you informed throughout this period and got them to you as quickly as possible. Despite customers wishes for products to be delivered at rapid speed, we have to use our crystal ball to estimate the sales volumes each month to forward place the orders, as it can take months to get them manufactured and delivered to us. In effect we had to guess that you (and the others) would want to buy these items some 3 months prior to you placing the order, and we admit that sometimes our forecasts (crystal ball) are not always accurate, but we do try to keep everyone informed along the way. Poor rating due to very expensive delivery charge

On your particular order we can see that the goods were £15.99 and the carriage was £14,95. This may seem expensive in comparison to the product ordered, but would not change if you had of ordered 1,000 of the units and at which point it would have been considered very cheap. The carriage charge, also would not have covered the cost of processing or dispatching this item, and would be considerably less than the cost of you coming to collect it from Fleet in Hampshire. However this may be yours and our preferred option in future for a similar order and we look forward to seeing you on the counter. Yours C & A Building Plastics

When I ordered my goods ,I was told by customer services that my order would be with me in 5 working days. I rang again and was told my order had just been loaded and would be with me on Tuesday, I received an email to say order despatched to my surprise it didn't arrive. I then received a text message last night to say this is a driver from c& a plastics I will deliver your goods tomorrow . Really not what I was expecting considering the order I placed online told me my order would be processed and delivered in 5 working days it's been 10. Priced ok for goods paid delivery charge. Customer service very poor.

We are a little confused by this review. The order was placed online, and the email confirmations does not say it is within 5 days for your postcode region. The lorry leaves on a Monday and returns to base on the Friday. The text message you received is to update you the vehicle has left the building and is on the road (as in dispatched), it is not saying you would receive it that same day. You are then further updated by the driver with a more accurate eta as they progress through the run (there may be roadworks or accidents / traffic jams which would effect any estimate we produce early on). We hope this helps to clarify some of the issues you have commented on, and apologies that we were unable to meet your expectations. Yours C & A Building Plastics

I purchased over £700 of goods from C&A Building Plastics and upon this paid for delivery. I am appalled with there delivery service. They delivered the goods outside my front garden and just left it there and said they can't bring the items in. The whole point of paying for delivery is for the items to be delivered in your home, wherever I request it to be. I'm very disappointed as I am a frequent customer with them.

Thank you for the review. Our delivery service is for a Kerb Side delivery, and you need to provide suitable labour on site to move it from there. The items you ordered a physically bigger than a standard door frame (6M x 2.1M sheets) and this is part of the reason for such policies, as well as customers generally not also having public liability insurance for their homes / sites, which could have many potential risks to injury for the delivering driver. We are clear on what our delivery service entails in the terms and conditions, or if you talk to us, From looking at your order this is the first and only order placed rather than the frequent customer you had described yourself as. We hope this has helped to clarify this for you. Yours C & A Building Plastics

I have used C&A for over 20 years and have been really happy with every transaction. This time sadly I was seriously let down by C&A. I places an order on the 12th April and received an email saying one of the items was out of stock. Rather than delivering the balance of my order nothing was delivered until the out of stock item was in. My goods finally arrived on Thursday 2nd May. When I chased my outstanding order on 23rd I was told there was no space on the deliveries due to Easter. This delay to my order was poor show from C&A I think and caused me much disruption to the project for which the materials were destined. No apologies or acknowledgement from C&A. Not happy!!! Wrong items sent out for delivery, ok mistakes happen and they did try to send out replacements via a 3rd party courier service who, after missing two agreed re- delivery dates and 5 days on have still failed to deliver. No follow up from C&A

Thank you for the review. We are sorry to hear of this issue that you seem to be having with the 3rd party carrier. This is why we try to avoid them wherever possible, but this was clearly to try to ensure the goods were dispatched asap. We trust that they have now been delivered, if not then please do call us on 01634 374444 so that our sales team can look into this with the carrier. Yours C & A Building Plastics

The ordering was easy, arranging delivery was also ok - but person delivering was not able to do it by himself and required customer to help. Staff on the telephone were not the most helpful either. All in all they could improve their delivery service to have two man crew delivering rather than one.

Dear Mrs Sonia Reis Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Looking at your order I can see there are notes that there was quite a detailed conversation by one of our staff that we deliver to the kerb side and that you so have to provide the labour for putting it to its final destination on your site. This is common practice in many industries, and not only were you aware of this at the time of the phone call, you had also marked that you read the terms and conditions that also include this. We have in the past and can organise by quotation a transport quote that is more specific to your requirements which includes a 2 man team. This however is charged at the true economic costs of supplying sucha service, and would involve the charges incurred for the hours of the additional person (including the additional persons hours in transit to and from the site), the transportation of them, and any overnights and accommodation required for them (depending on the location of the site). This is only normally requested on orders that are much more substantial than that placed by yourself due to the costs involved, and that the thousands of deliveries we make much prefer to provide that labour themselves and benefit from the substantial cost efficiencies of doing so. We hope this helps answer your query more fully.

Hi , the delivery time was fast and on time , the only problem was when I got the fascia to the job so I could unwrap it , 1 of the straight cover strips were broken , plus one fascia had a foot long split in one end and the other had a massive dent about a third of the way along , but I got by just ! Apart from that all was good , thank you , Gary Williams

We are rather surprised at this comment. Looking at the logs we can see there have been several phone calls and emails with regards to the order, keeping you updated at every stage. The order was even delivered on the 4th working day. Not sure what you are therefore expecting. We are glad you are happy with the materials you have purchased and hope the job went well for you C & A Building Plastics

I bought some window sill. It came in 5 meter lengths. Asked if I could borrow a saw to cut so I could put on roof rack. Staff refused to lend me a saw, so I had to buy a saw. Very disappointed. I realised once I got it home that it had a bow (was not flat)! Very poor! Will avoid as much as possible using your company in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. In reply to this, we would like to point out that the boards are also available in 2.5M lengths which you could have purchased. You could have also brought a suitable vehicle for the materials you wished to purchase. You could have ordered and paid for delivery of the 5m length if you did not have a suitable vehicle. You could have brought your own saw with you as many builder do. We used to lend saws, but unfortunately many times we did they were then stolen and so this practice had stopped. We do sell extremely good value high quality saws, which you say you have now experienced. Of course you could have also then donated that saw for us to then lend to future customers until it too would have gone missing. With regards to the bow, we are not surprised given the manor in which you transported it on your roof rack, and is why you discovered it bowed once at home and not while at the store or even when you were cutting it at the store. We can not help someone who does not transport a product adequately with the support and securing it needs, but we do offer delivery on vehicles specially designed and racked out for such products.

We were very disappointed that you had left 4 running outlets out of our box of fittings, which meant a long trip back from Broadstairs to pick them up(NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL)

Tried to deliver goods before the advised opening time of the business, then got shirty because it had to be rescheduled. Failed to follow simple instructions and then gave a rude response. Not very professional!!

No instructions were given as to the opening times of the business, however the business at the site adress was in fact open but there were no contractors on site and so the business turned away the delivery as they were not authorized to sign for goods on behalf of the contractor. The contractor was also not answering the phone until later in the day. The delivery was rescheduled for the following day despite the profanity given to our transport manager over the phone. Clearly a review written by someone in the office after the contractor who should have been on site provided the office with information to cover their own behind as to why the goods were not on site that day.

Your company took far too long to deliver the products to me and they now want to punish me again, as I have ordered the wrong size of products and I have been advised to correct this, I will have to pay double the price for delivery, which I feel is very unfair. I was told that delivery would be charged both ways - for collection of existing wrong products and delivery of new products.

Thank you for the review, we are sorry you feel a charge for returning an item is unfair, we hope this explanation helps to clarify the situation Your order induces very large sheets that need a specialist vehicle for delivery, these were delivered within our standard quoted time frames for such products and so we are unsure as to why you believe they were too long. If you need materials quicker you are able to collect them from the depot and arrange your own transportation. The safe return of an items is the responsibility of the customer to get it to the store and the costs associated in doing so, and the product then has its own processes cycle for unloading, checking re-booking into stock which is very different to those that are delivered from a supplier in bulk. The charges we make for delivery do not actually cover the true economic costs of doing so when taking into account, wages, fuel, maintenance, depreciation etc and so are in fact subsidised by the product purchased. In a return there is no subsidy and the original subsidy that was made on the items is then also lost. Having materials on vehicle for return also limits its load capacity for making deliveries, which can delay other customers orders within the system. We offer the collection of products as a customer service relationship offering for those who do not have a large enough vehicle to transport the goods themselves, but it does cost a lot and we do make this clear in our terms and conditions that the cost of a return will be different to that of a delivery. I appreciate you are feeling that you are disappointed at having to pay a returns charge, just as we are disappointed that we will be losing money on servicing this loss making order in an attempt to make you happy in the name of customer services, but it looks like this is an attempt being made in vain. These situations are therefore a lose / lose situation for all. If you feel that you are able to return the items in a more cost effective manor then please do so, and we look forward to their return and the freeing up of our vehicle and resources.
