“Really happy with my items but I think you need to look into the charge of delivering the products bit steep of price haiths bird seed supplies do free postage on orders of 30 pounds hop this helps to look into this and see if you can come up with a better deal on the postage that's why I do not use you more buying products from you and I think its hurting your business of selling items on line yours sincerely john ernest beecham”

Thank you for your feedback. I have spot-checked several of the most popular large bags of bird seeds (Niger Seed 12.75kg, Budgie Tonic 12.75 Kg, Aviary Mix 20Kg e.t.c). In all the cases I checked, the competitor you mentioned were charging between £11 and £16 more per bag, whereas our delivery charge is just £6.95. On the products I checked at least, the total price including delivery would be significantly cheaper at Burnhills. Although free delivery can often look attractive, it’s not always all it seems if product prices are higher to accommodate the Free Delivery. We may not of course be cheaper on every mix of products but it’s always worth comparing the total basket price. We have a bricks and mortar store and are committed to keeping prices low for all customers, in-store and mail order. It is therefore our aim to offer the lowest posible product prices, along with realistic delivery charges. We will of course continue to be mindful of both product and delivery prices and we thank you for your custom and feedback. I am pleased that you were happy with the service and we look forward to being of service to you again.

“This is a good company to order from, DPD delivery is good as you get a tracked day & time. My only gripe is that if you order 2 bags of dog food they charge 2 x delivery charges whereas a while back it used to be one delivery charge-it was changed pre-pandemic so it's not due to that.”
