“Not great and it doesn't help when they shut the toilets for cleaning because then other toilets are closed because the shop or cafe are closed at the weekend or the town hall is closed”

Hi there Vikki, We very much understand. This is a long journey that requires people in all situations to show compassion and patience. The recent pandemic has not helped the situation but we are seeing positive developments in this area. We're constantly working to raise the issues around the difficulties that people face when living with a bladder and/or bowel condition and to ensure the card is better recognised. “Takes too long to find bar code ( in all)... goes to Google pay....instead of seperate.”

Hi there Joy, We're sorry to hear you've had trouble - the Just Can't Wait card relies on GPay as an app to 'sit' in, as this is the best way we can make it available to anyone with a smartphone. If you'd rather a separate card, you are welcome to purchase a plastic card - simply apply via post with a small payment, and we'll send your card out to you directly. “Well I was struggling to get information on bladder /bowel /catheter I was looking for a self help / forum and instead I got a message to ring a A catheter nurse to then ps not every one has acesd to the technology for a just cant wait card doubly unimpressed. bother a busy district nurse at the weekend being an ex nurse I was not impressed.”

“My card arrived promptly. I have used it once in Boots the chemist. I showed them my card. They said I cannot use their facilities? So up to now I'm not impressed at all.”

Dear John, Apologies for not addressing your issues sooner - What a year we've had. We're sorry to hear your card was not accepted in Boots. The card is a communication tool, as opposed to a 'pass' to use the toilet. We are working to raise awareness with all levels of community to improve everyone's understanding of what it's like to live with a bladder and or bowel condition. “Nooone understands what the card is for and as it’s not a disabled card it’s not proving of any use at all. Even a security guard at Sainsbury’s was beyond rude when I used their toilet as there’s no public toilet nearby. No understanding or care whatsoever and dismissed the card.”
