Direct 4 Pet is the new easy name from Black Cat Medicines Limited.
Established in 1985 within a Lancashire Veterinary Surgery, we are now a busy Internet Pet Pharmacy and Pet Store shipping over 40,000 orders a month to our fantastic loyal customers. We are committed to delivering quality products at competitive prices and our Veterinary Surgery has been providing the highest standards of care for over 30 years. Our philosophy is to deliver excellence through a compassionate, approachable, and professional service to all our customers.

Our team of friendly team is made of up of veterinary surgeons, SQP's and an amazing back office team of Product Managers, Customer Services and our super efficient warehouse team. They are all happy to chat and are only a call away. All our vets are fully qualified and registered with the Royal Veterinary College; in addition, all our vets have practiced for many years.

The team at Black Cat Medicines has been together for a number of years and have an excellent working relationship together. Our team represents a valuable combination of experience and enthusiasm with the younger members of the team providing a constant source of innovation.

“Rather problematic initially. Confusion as I downloaded 2 prescriptions on one pdf file. It was resolved very quickly once I replied to an email. So very good customer care.”

“By far the best price I could find for the cat kibble I bought for which I'd happily give 5 stars but seven days after purchase it still hadn't been shipped so the 5 stars goes to 3. It seemed to take me to email direct4pets for the shipping to happen.”

“The courier did not chap the door, if fact they didn't even come in the gate. I don't know how long it was there before I got notification that my parcel was delivered. If I hadn't looked outside I wouldn't have my parcel. When I looked at the proof of delivery picture there was no distinguishing marks to proof that it was my gate. That gate could belong to any house. I would have given you 5 stars but took 2 off for the unsatisfied delivery service. I expect my parcel to be delivered to my door not outside my gate about ten feet from my door. Someone could have picked it up before I opened my door to get it.”

“Ordering process fine but they use Evri for delivery who are cheap and atrocious. They lost my parcel and I had to contact seller directly who have resent the order for the renal cat food I needed quickly (still waiting over two weeks later). It was marked as next day delivery but Evri don't even tell you they've lost it, they just say it's delayed. You have to do all the leg work yourself to see what the delay is. Please use a more reliable delivery service such as Royal Mail!!!! Or give us the option of who delivers it even if it cost a little more for delivery? I am reluctant to order from them again because if this experience.”

“I am being asked for a review but still have not received my cats medication”

“I received an e-mail saying that my prescription had been refused. I e-mailed several times to find out why, but never received a reply. I then re-ordered the item and got an e-mail to say that in the original order the prescription file was corrupt. Why did I did receive an e-mail telling me this somI could have re-uploaded it then. By re-ordering I could not use the discount code that I had.”

“Nothing wrong with the item or price. The courier Evri you use is utterly hopeless. They delivered over 3 hours later than the advised 2 hour timeframe causing me to wait in unnecessarily. You're only as good as your weakest link. Use DPD”

“Ordering is not easy go to their shop and product was not there. I had to use internet to find the product then find the company's advert then order it. It doesn't stop there they want a passport attached but vet sends this seperately so you have to make a word document stating that the vet will send it. Surely this can be made simpler. Also, the offer of the first order of 5% was accepted but not taken off at the payment stage. No code number on E mail. The plus side was VEt4pets asking a staggering 43 pounds for the same product. So well done for the saving you gave me.”

“I can’t fault how quickly my order was dispatched. However, the courier company you used are the worst and made a complete mess of the delivery. It took 6 days to arrive because of this I had to source another supply of Protexin. I’d be reluctant to order from you again if you still use the same courier company.”

“A quick delivery, however a shame the packaging of the item was poor which had led to a container being broken and a lot of the product inside it wasted. Photos sent in as proof of damage, but the returns procedure looked a long-winded nightmare, so as i'm housebound at present I cut my losses. I hope packaging improves in the future for others wishing to use the company.”
