Dissatisfied on two counts. 1. The colours were not as shown on the website. 2. I paid for express delivery but should not have bothered. I have only ever been to the Lerwick shop where the staff are lovely. Definitely NOT impressed with the online service.

Hello Marianne I'm sorry to hear of the negative experience you had with our website, we strive to always have accurate information available for every product although with over 15,000 items online occasionally an error can slip through. The express delivery is a Royal Mail 48hour service where they try to delivery orders within 2 days but can take longer on occasions. I assure you we do value all customers online with the same customer experience than those who enter the store and we work extremely hard to always improve our customer service. Collected my boots from the Inverurie Store. When I tried them on at home they were two slightly different boots. Sent a message to the Beggs email but when I did not receive a reply by the next morning I returned them to the Inverurie store. I then sent another message to Beggs and then received a reply saying that when they found out I had returned then they thought there was no need to get back to me. An apology would have been nice!

Hello Irene At Begg Shoes we pride ourselves on customer service, which in your experience we have fallen short. The boots you picked up should have been pair checked to a level where the zip length difference should have been picked up. For this we apologise for the error. We try to answer all emails within a 24 hour period, and while investigating the issue of your boots we learnt you had come back into the shop and your order had been refunded. Not replying to your email after this is poor customer service and we've learnt from this experience to always reply even when the situation has been resolved elsewhere in the shop. I apologise again for the negative experience you've had with us and I hope you will give us have a second chance to show our typically excellent customer service. Kind regards, James

Replacing well loved dordikas slippers for wife and I, Wife's pair fine, mine shorter in length and narrower despite same size as original. Had to return them He;lp request to Doredikas was unanswered

Purchase 3 items. Two fit well and one was too narrow. One of the two well fitted shoes clearly was worn. Dirty soles and grubby insoles. Return instructions said that the condition would be reviewed before a refund would be given so I called to say that I didn’t receive 5hem in good condition. Was advised that a note would be Amen and she would advise the relevant shop! The two pairs have to be returned to different shops and a charge is applicable to both! Pretty poor paper work and I have subsequently read I can return to local shop though my local shop never indicated as such. First experience of ordering online and unless this is resolved satisfactorily when I visit local shop on Saturday, I won’t be ordering or recommending again.

I am surprised and disappointed as the model, Raquel, of the Tamaris brand, which you sent me doesn't correspond to the same model (Raquel) sold on the Tamaris website. It is the model I really liked and was interested in -see photo attached-. I checked your photo and, indeed, it corresponds to the model you sent me!! I just don't understand how the same model could be different!! The only explanation I can see is that you're selling an old model!!

Hello Monique Thank you for your feedback regarding the Tamaris boot you have received. I can confirm the style number 25322 does relate to this boot and this is what we call Raquel. Tamaris number all their styles and it is always best to purchase from this rather than the names as these can change depending on the supplier. I have ordered high-end shoes from Begg before and all went very well. So I was confident in ordering again. This time however, I ordered three pair of less expensive moccasins, on the sale. Two pair arrived with "SALE" stickers stuck onto the very soft leather inner soles leaving staining and stickiness behind. They fit well, but it took me about 40 minutes of rubbing with a clean dry cloth to remove all the glue adhering to the tender inner sole of one pair. As for the third pair; very handsome and just what I wanted. But a defect in the workmanship -- a bit of very lumpy stitching right where the big toe joint needs to fit in -- is causing pain. Obviously, can't remove any of the stitching. Decided to keep the pair, thinking I could cover the bulky stitches with something to protect my foot. But having tried to wear them a couple of times now, I'm not sure that was such a smart idea. Feeling I should have sent them back. And overall, let down by this order. Sorry to say.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback regarding our communications. I apologise you did not receive your confirmation email, all orders are sent one. We have upgraded our emails in the last few weeks to make sure they are delivered to inboxes rather than junk emails where this may have ended up. We always check the quality of our shoes and packaging when sending out to customers, I can only apologise that these must have been damaged during transport with Royal Mail. Kind regards, James

Thank you for your feedback on our photography and postage costs on your order. We have recently lowered the order value to £30 to achieve free delivery so more orders will be covered by this. We are also looking at making returns easier by supplying pre-paid returns labels from Royal Mail. You purchased a Pre-Order item which are for items that are not in stock but are ordered for the current season, a way to guarantee you get the shoes as soon as possible. I had the shoes sent to my sister in law as a gift. They got sent to my house not happy. First line was my address and the rest of the address and postcodes where hers. Not very good I have had to pay for postage with the right address on.

Sorry to hear they were not delivered to where you had intended them to go, our online system is all automated and whatever is entered in the billing address is where the shoes are sent to automatically. It is possible to change the delivery address by entering a second address below, however the 2 addresses supplied are identical and we can only go by what information is entered by the customer. Not for users outside GB, cos you have additional costs that you are not aware of and you have to pay much more just to pick up your shoes. In my case 33 euro more wich is 30%. So not very economic choice.

Several weeks ago I tried on a pair of ankle boots in the Inverness branch of Beggs. As they didn't have my size, the assistant kindly offered to have a pair in my size sent to the shop from the Peterhead branch of Beggs. The assistant wrote down the order in their Customer Order book before I paid in full. I was assured that if the ankle boots weren't suitable I would be refunded. Ten day later , I had an email from the Inverness Branch to say that the order had arrived. I collected the ankle boots and the assistant re-assured me that if they weren't suitable then I could return them, but to bring in the dispatch note which was inside the parcel. I took the boots home but decided they were too big and returned them in the original packaging . along with the dispatch note to the shop the next day. There followed, what can only be described as a "haggle" over the refund. The manager told me that as I hadn't brought my original receipt, the order couldn't be traced as all sales are completed via an i-pad and it would be very difficult to trace orders made months ago. She also pointed out (correctly) that it is the responsibility of the customer to look after the original receipt Eventually the assistant refunded me the money but I felt embarrassed by the whole episode. I am a keen internet shopper but realise that shops still play an important role in everyday life and keep both communities energised and people in jobs. I could just have easily ordered the shoes online. There would have been a secure paper trail and I could have been refunded without any fuss . I have bough many pairs of shoes from Beggs in the past but this experience has put me off. I won't be going back.
