Unfortunately to say, my son was very disappointed with the gift. I thought I was purchasing a non-alcoholic gift but my son reported to me that there were several items included in the gift which contained alcohol. I really don't know what to say. It was a sad Christmas surprise when I was hoping to be doing a nice thing.

I have been asked to revise my review in the light of the solution to a specific problem - a refund which I overlooked because of my mistaken reading of a bank statement. something for which I again apologise. However everything in the review below still applies. The rigmarole and the straitjacket into which the buyer is led on your website makes it unnecessarily difficult to place an order, especially a multiple order. I do urge you to take on board the detailed comments below. "Poor" (upgraded to "average" ) relates to the business model, not the products which the recipients love now that the artificial impediment to one of the deliveries has been overcome following negotiations. I use VISA and all that's needed is a card number, an expiry date and a three-digit security code and the bank will transfer the amount instantly. Just like a transaction over the counter. No need for a cumbersome rigmarole. But navigation of your website is a nightmare. The customer is locked into a straitjacket. To buy three products one must go back to square one for each purchase! The website lists the sort of information to supply you (e,g, what if nobody is home etc) but does not allow for the customer to answer any of the questions. Each product description should include its category, especially if non-alcoholic. Your phone number should be highlighted on the website - the staff member I reached after brushing aside the autofoboff computer answering machine dealt with my questions promptly and courteously. But I'd had to extract the actual phone number from an email. Bottom line: Long before next Christmas fire the website designer and create a user-friendly website in house! Test it to ensure that it works.

My experience this time was not as good as previously. When i completed the order, I opted to pay by visa, filled in the data and was informed that the card was not acceptable. This is a perfectly normal Visa credit card, I was therefore obliged to use paypal, who had no problem with the same visa card. Secondly, the hamper was addressed to my daughter in London. An old address of hers, which she left some years ago, still existed as the "default"delivery address. I changed it to her new one but on close examination of the summary at the end of the operation, your site had decided to revert to the old address. As I write, I am waiting for your solution to the problem, best regards, John O'S

I cannot give an accurate rate yet, as the delivery is supposed to be on 29th Dec, so I am hoping it hasn't been sent early?

The item I ordered did not arrive on the date I scheduled. I ordered a basket as a birthday present for a close friend and so the delivery date was important. However, upon contacting the company with my complaint, their team were quick to address the issue. Although dissaponted that my basket did not arrive on the scheduled date, I am impressed by the team's quick response.

The website was not easily navigated and the instructions on where to put special delivery details was vague. I ended up putting them in the message box as there was no visible "comments box" as the instructions stated. The basket has not yet been delivered so if the delivery instructions don't get read it may never make it to the correct person at St Georges hospital. It would be a good idea for Get Well baskets to have additional address lines to put hospital ward information so there is some level of confidence the basket will be delivered to a loved one.

Hi Anthony, thank you for the feedback provided although we were disappointed to read this. I noticed you ordered on our sister site, rather than through main BasketsGalore store. We do state during checkout where to put the ward information if sending to a hospital and there is also a comments box available, so I will have the IT department check this is also noticeable on the sister site you ordered on. Please be assured everything is on course with your order. Your gift basket is scheduled for dispatch today, for delivery tomorrow on the special Saturday service. You will receive a dispatch email to explain how to track your order later this evening. I have also checked with the dispatch team & it is clearly marked with the ward/patient details. Please note, when couriers deliver to hospitals they have to take parcels to the main postroom. Then the hospital staff are responsible for passing it onto the correct ward so the signature may be a member of staff rather than the patient themselves. We also track all orders we dispatch & step in to help should there be any delivery difficulties. I enjoyed ordering at your website, i ordered a birthday gift to a friend but i wish i could add a balloon at the end of the process. It's like you are missing the up-sale or the cross-sale at the end. I would have paid more if only you offered a baloon or additional small gift to add to the basket at the end of the order. I was pleased to see magazines as an option, but pretty disappointed that these are charged at £5.99 per magazine, I think that's awful.

Hi there, it was easy to navigate the website and the product descriptions are good however it was not easy to filter by price range. During the proceed to checkout stage, it was not clear when the next day delivery would be. The calendar number stayed on 31st for standard delivery and next day delivery. I was really hoping for delivery on March 29th however it wasn't clear if this was a possibility? I received confirmation of my purchase on the screen, but I am still awaiting a confirmation email for my purchase and confirmation of delivery date. Thanks,

Hi Shena, Thank you for your Review. I am sorry to hear that you had a mixed Shopping Experience. We aim to create a fun and easy experience for our customers and I apologise if this was not the case for yourself. Regarding the delivery date, this was due to the Easter Bank Holidays that occurred between 25/03/16-29/03/16 with our offices reopening on 30/03/16. The Next Available Date was the 31st which is why you could not select an earlier option. We also allow you to sort our products by price via the left hand option 'Shop By Price' which has several price categories. If you were shopping on a tablet or phone, this appears when the device is turned landscape. I apologise for any inconvenience. We have checked your email address and it seems to be the correct one registered, so an email confirmation should have been sent once your order was placed. I usually do the on line shopping as I live in Australia to save on postage. My last order you charged 25 pounds for delivery I could have posted a gift from Australia for that amount !on the web you were quoting 7 pounds when I was ordering my initial order showed I wanted 3 of the same items. Did you charge me for three deliveries and not 1

Hi Wendy, thanks for your feedback. Our next working day delivery option is indeed £7.99 (Mon-Fri) so I looked up your order & see you actually selected the upgraded Saturday delivery service. Unfortunately couriers here charge extra for this as it's a non-standard, special service and we subsidise this further to £24.99. Hopefully in the near future delivery companies will include Saturday as a standard day. I tracked your delivery & see it successfully arrived on Saturday morning. Basket was beautifully presented. Only problem was that the crisps were out of date! This was meant to be a get well gift for my parents who are in bad health. Everything else was good, and the company did replace the crisps. I would have rated very good if it had not been for the out of date food.
