“I was away on holiday when my sculpture arrived and have since returned. I am delighted with the actual sculpture of Old Ginger, even though resin. However, was very disappointed that it wasn't named on the base or the side. Also no documentation included to say what it was either. Considering the price this seems remiss. Lynda Bromley”

Hi and the sculpture of the Dandy Dinmont is simply a casting of the maquette sculpture made by Sandy Stoddart. It is his faithful replice of his 'Old Ginger' which stands at The Haining and as such has no nameplate. There was a Dandy Dinmont event at The Haining where Sandy signed certificates, however this was a very specific 'on the day' event. Ballantynes have not had any input into this decision, we're making Old Ginger to help raise funds for The Haining (£60.00 on every sale is being gifted to The Haining Charitable Trust) where the breed was born. I hope you understand this ramble, however I'm pleased for like the workmanship which we can take the credit for.

“Beautiful product. Well packed. Late info about shipment, and only after my asking for it. 20% import duties were a very unpleasant surprise [I live in the EU].”

“I was very disappointed initially to receive my order and see it was very badly damaged in the packaging. I was also very disappointed in the raection from the customer sales person whom i spoke to. However when the replacement product arrived it was as expected so overall i was pleased”

“Product good but delivered with incorrect base. To their credit the MD personally replied and offered an exchange but it was after the fact really. These are important occasions so please get it right, whatever the circumstances.”

“Although I was happy with the glass this type of product is usually a gift. Therefore it was extremely disappointing for it to be in a tatty cardboard box wrapped in bubble wrap.”

“I received a great product. But the company didn?t meet the timelines I asked for before I ordered. Having said they could meet the deadline with no issues the item arrived two days late and. Caused an issue with getting it forwarded to the recipient. Sadly they also have not replied to my latest email where I expressed my disappointment.”

“Easy website to use and order. I wasn't very confident about claiming the military discount because the payment system takes the money then apparently the company apply the discount later. It would be more customer friendly to apply the discount as part of the online transaction. (I did not receive a discount because my product didn't qualify). Additionally I emailed the sales team twice and have not had a response.”
