“This was the best planned holiday I've ever experienced. From the very start, Balkan Escapes "built" the holiday in Croatia we wanted - Dubrovnik, Corcula, Split. The locations, hotels, sea transfers and flights were all excellent. No complaints whatsoever and I recommend them unreservedly.”

“I couldn’t recommend Balkan Escapes enough. From the initial enquiry Jack was very helpful and put together a perfect itinerary. He answered all my questions and gave us ideas of what to do in each location. The hotels were lovely and transfers in between well organised. The information we received prior to departure was thorough and being sent the pack with all our boarding passes etc was a great touch. All in all the holiday was fantastic value for money and loved Croatia.”

“It was nice to experience a holiday where transfers and tickets were all arranged. The whole process from booking to going away was smooth. We told Jack what we wanted and our needs were met. We were particularly impressed by the suggestions for tours which allowed us to focus our searches. “From the onset of booking until our holiday Jack was excellent in providing us with answers to our questions throughout the process. We all had a wonderful time. The flights were all fine - transfer from airport ok although driver did drop us off quite a walk away from Hotel Luxe where we stayed at beginning and end of our holiday. Tried to do same on return but we insisted on being collected from hotel as all other taxi firms we used picked us up & dropped us off at the door. Driver not pleased! Our cruise was exceptional and met all our expectations over and above. Car hire with Sixt fine but when we arrived to pick up there was some confusion around amount of 40 euros (which we were advised by Jack to take car on ferry). After some discussion we ended up paying £155 per car extra as they were unaware of the 40 euro charge and advised that the £155 should cover any eventualities on the ferry. They weren't interested in the excess insurance we had paid on Jack's advice. Our week in the villa on Korcula was excellent too which we booked separately. We would certainly book through Balkan Escape in the future.”

“We feel that our holiday needs and requirements were met, accommodation/ transfers was as expected. The servive provided was very good and they dealt with the flight cancellation swiftly and efficiently. Only thing would say is advising more re location of hotels ie we didnt mind but the Split and Dubrovnik hotels were up hills from old town.. otherwise very happy with service had very enjoyable holiday and would definitely book through Balkan Escape again, and indeed recommend to friends/family. “My wife and I went to Croatia on a four centre holiday to celebrate our Pearl Wedding Anniversary. I had a good idea as to where I wanted to go and Jack at Balkan Escape helped me to finalise my plans. I’m a perfectionist and difficult to please. However, this company and Jack in particular more than exceeded my expectations . Everything they said they were going to do, they did which is quite something in this day and age! We even got a text from Balkan Escape advising us our ferry had been cancelled the night before we were due to leave for another island, without which we might have missed our connection/ transfer. I would thoroughly recommend using this company and I for one will be back one day to sort stays in Montenegro and elsewhere in Croatia”

“Just returned from a fabulous triple centre holiday in Croatia organised by Jack at Balkan Escape. The hotels were excellent, especially the Vitar in Bol. When our ferry was cancelled Jack rearranged our travel with the minimum of fuss and we arrived in Dubrovnik earlier than our original plans. The attention to detail was exceptional. We found the pre-trip information excellent and the suggested trips were spot on. Certainly, our holiday lived up to our expectations and we are already exploring opportunities to return to the Balkans in the future.”

“We had a wonderful time on our trip - with all our requirements being met. The Splendida Palace Hotel in Split was perfect, the room and balcony were ideal and the manager, Marija, was exceptionally helpful providing 5 star breakfasts. This was the best hotel of the three. Unfortunately, our catamaran transfer to Bol was cancelled due to high winds which we did not know about until we arrived at the port. We then had to find an alternative ferry which ran from the far side of the port, so had to carry heavy bags to the booking office and berth 23 - then carry them up to an upper deck (we are in our 70's). The ferry ran to Supetar and we then had to catch a taxi to Bol. Not ideal but not really a problem as we met some interesting people and shared a taxi. Hotel Bol was excellent and the location was fine despite a hill back up from the seafront and some very wet weather. The catamaran was running to Hvar and we were met on the quayside with our bags taken up to Heritage Hotel Dea. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and polite and the location was excellent. The only negative we had was that our room had a slightly "worn" feel - eg. the bedside rug had curled edges (trip hazard), the insect screen to the balcony was torn, the shower fitting holding the removable shower head was broken and the balcony furniture and plant were at the end of their lives! The balcony cushions were saturated when we arrived (presumably from the heavy rain we had a couple of days previously) and we had to lay them out to dry them. It wasn't any real problem but we would expect rather better for the high price paid. Having said that we really enjoyed our stay there. Overall we were very satisfied with our trip, would use Balkan Escape again and are happy to recommend to others. Many thanks.”

“Just returned from a superb holiday to Croatia booked through Balkan Escape. Following an initial conversation, Balkan Escape put together an excellent package for our 17 day trip taking in Split, Hvar, Korcula and Dubrovnik. The whole planning process was so easy and totally customer-focused. We were able to specify locations, lengths of stay and budget so that we got the holiday that we wanted rather than a standard package that only partially met our requirements. The actual holiday itself we couldn't fault. Documentation was all delivered on time, including some useful information about all the places we were visiting and interesting things to see and do. The flights, transfers and ferries all went perfectly. The hotels were all of a very high standard and their locations matched exactly what we had asked for. All in all, one of the best planned holidays that we have been on. I would definitely book through Balkan Escape again and would have no qualms about recommending them.
