“We have just returned from a 3 centre holiday with Balkan Escapes and would not hesitate to recommend them. When booking, the team interpreted our requirements perfectly. All of our accommodation was excellent and flights and transfers were punctual. We enjoyed every aspect of our trip from roaming around the beautiful old towns of Zadar and Split to taking 8 mile walks around the Pitvice Lakes.”

“I booked a weeks holiday with my wife to Croatia. The service from beginning to end wsa outstanding with precise information. The arrangements were first class and he communication outstanding. I particulary liked the app providing udates to flight times etc. The hotels were first class and the pick ups and private transport transfers were on time and with friendly people. This holiday is one of the best holidays we have had. I would like to thank Balkan Escape for being first class. Well done.”

“Wonderful holiday with every aspect taken care of by Balkan Holidays. I usually organise my trips myself but not sure I can go back to that after how easy this was. The itinerary was perfect and presented so well with a selection of great hotel options, local advice and suggestions for activities. My holiday was multi trip and all of my transfers were organised and booked for me, including ferries between islands. Everything was so well thought out- ferry times closest to hotel check outs, taxis booked to transfer me to my hotel and even my flights were checked in with window seats selected. Croatian ferries are not super organised (the websites are out of date) and so their local knowledge really helped here and booking this myself would have been a challenge. What could have been a complicated and stressful trip was made so easy. My hotels were great- small boutique places with fab service, outside of the busiest areas. All of the comms I had with the team and the level of customer service were excellent - getting all of my tickets/boarding passes not only by email but also in a printed pack with clear instructions and emergency contacts. They even honoured the price for me despite flight prices rising whilst I took my time to decide. Can't speak highly enough of the service and would recommend to anyone looking to travel to the Balkans!”

I was searching for a multi centre holiday with 6 locations and was struggling until I found your company who organised our holiday to perfection. After asking what we would like from our holiday, hotel choices, transport options and sightseeing ideas were provided based on our preferences. “My husband and I have recently returned from a two week, two centre, holiday to Montenegro and Croatia arranged through Balkan Escape. The whole experience was absolutely seamless. Jack and his team arranged flights, transfers and hotels for us so we didn't need to worry about anything. The transfers between Montenegro and Croatia and hotel to Croatia Airport were in luxury air conditioned BMWs which was a very nice touch. I would thoroughly recommend Balkan Escape to anyone thinking of visiting this wonderful part of the world.”

“We had a wonderful 2 location stay in Croatia - 3 nights Dubrovnik and 3 nights Sipan. Balkan escapes arranged everything and it all went very smoothly - it was a luxury to have all our transfers pre arranged. When Easy Jet rearranged their flight schedule, Balkan Escape changed our flights (on discussion with us) to more suitable times. At all points in the booking process they were friendly and quick to reply to queries. We especially enjoyed our boat transfer to our second hotel and suggested hotels which we would not have found for ourselves. Thank you”

“We gave an initial idea of where we wanted to stay and the types of hotels/locations, and everything was organised for us from there, along with the tweaks we wanted. Quick response to our initial enquiry and prompt replies to our emails. Airport pick up and transfers all happened as planned, apart from one delay due to roadworks. Very good service indeed, and it was reassuring that all we needed to do was turn up. Recommended for anyone, and especially for holidays with more than one destination. It took the hassle out of getting away for us.”

“Balkan Escape tailored our holiday to Zagreb and the Plitvice Lakes in Croatia, meeting all our needs and timescale directly. Flights, transfers and car hire all went smoothly. Accommodations were spot on. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Balkan Escape, especially if you are wanting to do something a little different and outside of the confines of a ‘package’ holiday. They are happy to do a lot of ‘to and fro’ to help get you the perfect holiday, and are very helpful and knowledgeable. And yes, the lakes are every bit as beautiful as they claim.”

“Truly wonderful company who really helped us out as we would of had a rubbish holiday. We were picked up by a Taxi arranged by Balkan, We had a lovely knowledgable driver (Dario )with a very clean car. We booked a trip to Dubrovnik for 3 nights in Hotel Kompass which was amazing, Staff, food and accomadation was excellant, 25-30 min easy walk into Dubrovnik. Then we got another Taxi, arranged by Jack at Balkan again a lovelty driver very clean car. We went to Orebic Hotel Grand Azur 2 hrs away (Our choice not Balkan) it had great reviews, but WOW what a difference, Staff were rude, food was like cold slop, restaurant was more like a canteen, your table wasnt even cleared when you finished, we ate in there twice ( breakfast and dinner) and both times we left food as it was cold, could only eat salad. The room was a junior suite apprently it classed as this because it had a sofa in it the receptionist told us, it had twin beds and shower that spat at you and looking at the shower head it was blocked and looked disgusting, the hair dryer broke, the funniest thing was they gave you a kettle and 4 fruit flavoured tea bags and 2 coffee sachets, no English breakfast tea or milk, when we ask about this they said we dont offer those and you have to pay extra for the milk. The grounds were very grubby. After a few hours we telephoned Balkan and James called us back immediatley in the evening, after working hours, he was so kind and helpful and we ask if we can move from the hotel, after a few emails and calls he gave us some options and he arranged for another Taxi to collect us the following day and take us to Hotel Croatia. Hotel Croatia was amazing, Staff so friendly, food delightful, accommadation beautifull with great views, hotel is built in the cliffs like a cruise ship. Then Balkan arranged another taxi after 5 days to take us back to the airport. Jack and James were truly amazing guys who went above and beyond to help us. it was not there fault regarding the bad Hotel as it was our choice, but i would suggest checking it out Balkan Escapes. We would still use Balkan Escapes and will be looking into another holiday with them very shortly for later this year. Thank you so much Jack & James for your help.”

“Our holiday needs and requirements were fully met * The transfers were very efficient with friendly good drivers. * The service provided by Balkan Escape was excellent, especially their recommendation to stay in Rovinj rather than our first choice of Pula. * The only area of our holiday that Balkan Escape could improve, would have been more detail on the cruise itinerary, because we were not aware that we wouldn't arrive at our destination until 4pm, which didn't give us as long in each place as we had expected. We would have preferred a cruise that allowed more time to explore, and didn't stop for a couple of hours every day for swimming. * We would book through Balkan Escape again, and would recommend them to friends/family.”

“Our thanks to Balkan Escape and Jack Fleming and his team for a fantastic and very well planned Holiday. We had a two city stay Split and then in Dubrovnik. Every detail of the holiday went smoothly, the team even checked us in for both our flights beforehand. The well organised transfers from and to the airport's in excellent and air conditioned vehicles. The great ferry trip from Split to Dubrovnik visiting different islands on route. hotel bookings. All the paper work for the holiday was delivered on time with helpful tips and ideas of places to see. We would highly recommend Balkan escape to you. You will not be disappointed.”

“We were very happy with your service and our holiday, both hotels and transfers. Before departure I had located the Split and Korcula hotels online; the latter was easy to find. Provision of a map would have helped for Split. Our expected drop-off point there was not accessible because the St Domnius public holiday had blocked off some roads. Our driver gave directions but we got lost in the crowds and struggled to find anyone who knew where Hotel Marmont was. Eventually we found a waiter who said he thought he knew and kindly took us the 100m to the hotel. After that rather fraught beginning to our holiday everything went smoothly, apart from a rather lumpy ferry crossing to Dubrovnik.”

“We had a great holiday in Balkan Escapes. The three locations met our requirements perfectly. We visited 4 national parks (Plitvic, Krka, Kornati and Paklenica), two UNESCO world heritage sites (Split and Zadar old towns) and 2 old (14C-16C) towns (Trogir and Hvar) and Rostoke (which was a combination of old village and waterfalls). We visited Plitvic first and were worried that we might have peaked too early as it is absolutely stunning but the other locations were also great in their own ways. Balkan Escape was a good company to deal with. They understood our requirement, the itinerary was clearly explained before we went. We were surprised that they also managed to check us in for the flights and get our boarding passes two weeks ahead of our holiday, meaning we had one less thing to worry about. The EasyJet flight from Bristol was good. I had enough leg room (I'm 6'4") without having to arrange (and pay for) an extra legroom seat, although it was very early, so we stayed in a hotel at the airort the night before the flight out.”
