“Tried this (Gichesters stoneground organic white) for the first time having been a big fan of the Mulino Marino tipo 00 sofiata strong white. This is very different! I can't imagine what the wholemeal looks like! It's going to be a bit of a learning process. It's very extensible - when stretching and folding the dough after initial kneeding it only offers the briefest of resistance before stretching to infinity. Similarly, I'm finding it proves very quickly compared to the Mulino Marino. Not that keen on the colour but lots of flavour and I've got 15 Kg so hopefully I'll master it before the end of the bag. It's grown just down the road from me but it's easier and cheaper to purchase from Bakery Bits. Mad!”

Good looking loaf Michael, Some people don't understand why we stock so many flours, but they are so different from each other as you have found out. I am sure you will master this flour well before the end of the bag when you are baking bread like this! Happy baking

“My favoured flour brand at the moment is Matthews Cotswolds Flours and normally I would order directly from them. However, there were some flours that I particularly wanted that were out of stock at the miller, but they were available from Bakery Bits, and astonishingly enough, significantly cheaper in one case. The order was processed promptly and arrived within 2 or 3 days. The bags were welle packed and arrived undamaged. I will certainly be ordering again.”

“The delivery was fast and they included complimentary yeast too (which made an excellent pizza dough). Great selection of flours and equipment too. I'd love to buy flour exclusively from Baker Bits but I'm just a home baker and the delivery costs might be a bit restrictive. Overall though, a great shop!”

“OMG! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏 DHL delivered in 3days!!! ❤️❤️ Bakerybits packaging was AMAZINGLY AWESOME! HRH QE’s could not have been packaged better!! And so compact! And so fresh!! 👌🥰 baked Veda bread and it tasted Absolutely delicious because the ingredients were so so fresh! Yes will be buying more from Bakerybits very soon! Thank you everyone at Bakerybits and DHL!! So impressed with British Quality and STANDARD and efficiency! Got package on time in 3 days!”

“According to my records I have somewhat surprisingly been a customer of Bakery Bits since 2012. During this time I have purchased: 2 Stainless Steel Pizza sheets, a steel cloche, a granite stone, 2 bread peels, maybe a lame or two, bannetons in excess, a linen couche and various dough scrapers. I would have bought an Italian spiral dough mixer also but these had alas sold out. The quality of the items purchased has been very good to exceptional. They have served and continue to serve me well and all orders made with this company have been promptly delivered with the minimum of fuss. It is often said that the worth of a company may be gauged by their response when things go wrong and on this I cannot comment for NOTHING has EVER gone amiss. The only thing (and I am struggling here) is that I do wish the embossed logo on their plastic dough scraper was either missing or less raised as it is irritatingly difficult to clean occasioning more than a few "colorful (U.S.sp.) metaphors" over the years. Good people to do business with. The attached pictures feature: Hamelman's Deli Rye (BB 800g bannetons), a 2 kilo Vermont Sourdough Miche (BB 2 kilo lined banneton), Champlain Sourdough with seeds (BB 1 kilo banneton) and a pizza slice baked on the stainless steel plate from Bakery Bits. The Little Owl is our Head Baker.”
