“Your compost is good, previous deliveries have been good, but this time you didn't let me know the delivery date, in spite of the message I included with the order saying this would be necessary. My compost was left in a public place on the allotment without my knowledge and without my ever having received your standard email alert. By the time I knew about the compost, others had assumed it wasn't a private purchase, but an anyone-can-have-some matter. I was in time to wheel-barrow most of the remaining compost down the drive to my own piece of hard standing where I had wanted it delivered, but a great deal of lost time and fuss was caused. All you had to do was follow your promised procedure of alerting me to the delivery. I can't answer your other questions because I don't know when the delivery was made.”
