I was badly let down by another company the day before the long Easter weekend. I rang aspect and they responded immediately and had a plumber here within about half an hour. aspect completed the job for me without any fuss and there have been no complications since.

Using Aspect has been a time-consuming, painful and costly exercise - and we still haven't received what we originally paid them for, the best part of a month on. We decided to use Aspect to check over some gas central heating we'd had installed. We had a couple of doubts about the original installation carried about by someone else, and requested a report from Aspect. When I called to book the job, we were explicitly told that we would receive a written report, with accompanying photos, within 2 days of the inspection. They took card details for the booking, which I was informed would only be used to confirm the booking, with no payment taken without my express consent. The day of the inspection, to be fair, went well, the gas engineer who turned up was polite, knowledgable, and capable of explaining issues without being patronising. After 2 days, there was no sign of the report, so I called up to chase it. I was informed that their gas engineers don't provide reports, to which I suggested they should maybe have mentioned this rather than saying the exact opposite initially. They eventually agreed, and said it would be with me by the end of the day. Naturally, I had no intention of paying without receiving the report we commissioned, however, on checking my bank account the next day, I found the money had been withdrawn without the express consent they told me would be required. Anyway, still no sign of the report the following day, I called, and had exactly the same conversation: no, we can't do a report... ah yes, we should have sent you one, it'll be with you by the end of the day. Next day, I reckon you know where this is going, there was no sign of the report. I was lucky enough to have this same conversation every day for the next week, until eventually, 7 days past the original 2 day deadline, I asked for a refund. The customer service assistant I spoke to got quite aggressive, pointing out that I'd been chasing the report, but now "suddenly" deciding I want a refund. I agreed to accept the report if it was with us by 5pm that day. At 4:59pm (sounds like a joke, doesn't it? but no, they actually delivered it 1 minute before the sixth deadline), I received the following extensive "report": "on arrival inside flue test point was open an taken photos and replaced plug, pressure is ok an explained why no gas leaks no water leaks boiler all working correctly just the issue of open flue test point controls all working correctly" As well as being largely non-sensical, this came without the photos it promised, and we'd been assured several times we would receive. Still no sign of them. It's also worth mentioning that the gas engineer had highlighted potential issues with carbon monoxide levels during his initial visit, which sounds like the kind of issue that should have been highlighted in their written communication. Nearly three weeks on, we still haven't managed to get anything sensible out of Aspect; it's also a week and a half since I was told their customer service team would be in touch. They haven't. To be honest, half the reason for writing this is in the hope that it might encourage the slightest bit of pro-active, responsible effort from Aspect's side, what with them having taken our money and everything. So, in conclusion, they've been incompetent, haven't delivered what we paid for, and wasted hours and hours of my time chasing them. Apart from that, they're pretty good. --- In response to your comment below: my postcode is SW16 2JS. Although, your customer care team told us they'd be in contact with us "imminently" two weeks ago now - so I'd question your procedures if it meant that you only actually deployed them if someone complained in a public forum. While we're on it, the bit where you temporarily removed my review because you thought it was fake (though it would be a pretty elaborate yet dull fabricated story, wouldn't it?) comes across as something of a cheap shot. If I didn't know better, I'd get the impression you were just using the moderation system to hide reviews you didn't want people to see.

Showed up earlier than expected and engineer (Gino) and his assistant were thorough. Showed another problem through photographs and repaired at the same time. I have been very pleased with Aspect so far (have used them three or four times) and will continue to use them in the future as the price seems fair.

A leaking waste pipe underneath my kitchen sink was giving me concerns. The plumber carried out a very good job to rectify the problem and I am satisfied that the whole procedure from contacting the company through to final payment has been carried out in an entirely professional manner.

I am very pleased with the work carried out. The shower works great. The engineer who installed the shower did so with the minimum of fuss and was very efficient and quick. He left the bathroom in good order as he found it. All in all I commend Aspect for a job well done at a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend Aspect to everyone. The carpenter arrived on time. He was pleasant and professional. He worked quickly and proficiently and left everywhere clean and tidy. I found the service extremely efficient and of an excellent quality from the initial telephone contact and booking, to the very friendly and skilled handyman to the easy payment system. I have already recommended Aspect to my family and friends and will continue to do so, and most certainly will be using them again, my next project is some shelves to be put up and painted and Aspect will be my first choice for this job

The story went.. I called the number, they picked up... they were quick and easy to talk to. Two days later, the guy arrived with a smile, fixed my window with no issue. Cleaned up after himself and left. Reasonable pricing and great customer service. Would definitely recommend. Shima

I've used Aspect for loads of jobs now - plumbing, electrics, roof work and more. They have almost always been excellent. The one time one of their guys messed up, they were apologetic and refunded me - but that was very much the exception. A more normal example is the last job they did for me, installing a new shower onto an old and difficult system. The plumber was punctual, polite and did the tricky job superbly well. And he didn't even want a cup of tea. I recommend Aspect to all.

Rang Aspect when my boiler broke down recently during a cold spell, predictably. They prioritised the call out in light of the fact we have an 8 month old baby. Engineer arrived on time and was incredibly helpful and efficient. Identified and fixed the problem (which required a replacement pressure - he carried a spare and so was able to fit this at the time). Charge by the half hour and for the replacement part. Total was very reasonable. Miles better than any other heating engineers I've ever used. Will definitely use again in the future.

Hi I called aspect for a central heating engineer to fix a pipe and reset my boiler, Richard the engineer turned up within 40 minutes and did a great job in under an hour so well done Aspect would recommend you. PS this was after being let down by several other so called reliable companies who on their websites promise a lot but deliver nothing but excuses as to why their workmen don't turn up.

Booking was simple and straightforward with an appointment time agreed. The glazier turned up on time at the beginning of the agreed slot. He was friendly and got on with the job with no fuss. Excellent service. Will use them again for other jobs.
