“Following the change from Currency Index to APLTSCurrency confirmation of receipt of funds has not been sent and funds have not been transferred on the same day as happened previously. Hopefully this is a teething problem and will not happen in future transactions.”

Following the merge of Currency Index and A Place in the Sun Currency, we are sorry if the new name doesn't meet everybody's approval. However as primarily we are helping overseas property buyers, for the vast majority of our customers, using a company in the same group as the television show and website of the same name, adds some confidence to what can be a difficult and stressful time. Our service levels and professional team have not changed. We would politely request that this score could be reconsidered, as it is not reflective of any changes in service, and as our staff strive to offer the best customer service in our industry regardless of the name of the company.

“A place in the Sun currency were fantastic. From an initial enquiry about sorting currency out for a potential house purchase through to connecting me to agents who could help me find a property, advising on ensuring I understand the typical buying process and the need to have a reservation fee should I find a property through to efficient transfer activity of Uk funds to them and then onwards in euros to various parties. The money laundering checks/ source of funds was relatively painless too. The rates too were competitive given the additional benefits of working with specialists who understand the property purchase process abroad. All in all, I’d have no hesitation recommending a Place in the Sun currency. Superb and Lauren B was brilliant .”
