“For a new comer to international money transfers this service was simple, effective and efficient. My personal advisor was extremely helpful, understanding, attentive and most importantly genuine. I felt I could trust him and he was upfront and honest with me. The follow up service was great, confirming my transfer was complete. I cannot fault my experience. “The advice I got was weak and unconvincing. I felt pressurised to make a fast decision that resulted in my converting my euros back to sterling way too early. As a consequence I missed out on several thousand pounds. I would never use this company again. I hope you make this comment visible for potential customers to see.”

Dear Mr Haithwaite, Thank you for your comments and we are sorry if you feel our service was not of the standard we always strive for. We do not provide advice as such, and with rates extremely volatile due to the forthcoming referendum, it is very hard to predict what rates will do. At the time of this exchange the Pound was strengthening and could easily have continued to do so, given the referendum's influence on exchange rates, but in hindsight the market has instead dropped as the 'Leave' campaign has since gained in popularity. Unfortunately there is no way to pre-empt exchange rate movements at the best of times. Please be assured it makes no difference to us when a transaction is carried out and we do not pressurise clients, unlike many of our competitors who are well known to do so. We do however provide honest opinions and potential outcomes of exchange rate movements in various scenarios, and we apologise if these were misconstrued as anything more than that. The transaction was carried out at a competitive, commercial exchange rate at the time with prompt, efficient onward payment and to that end we trust we have provided some value compared to the rates offered by typical high street banks.

“There has been a mistake concerning my last transaction. I was contacted when I was abroad, by email saying they had no record of £10000 which I meant to be transferring to them at the end of April. This obviously caused me to worry that I hadn't transferred £10000 correctly and had inadvertently paid it to someone else by mistake. However after phone calls it appears they had expected a second sum of £10000 from me. The clerk who had organised the transfer of £10000 from sterling to euros had, it would appear, mistakenly done this twice. I am now back in the uk and I am expecting, on his return from his holiday, an explanation and an apology.”

We apologise for the confusion relating to this order, which was indeed caused by a duplication which led to our system showing one settled order and one unsettled. The currency relating to the settled order had of course been sent out correctly and on time, so there was no delay or loss caused, however we apologise for the telephone call which was necessary to understand what had happened and could have caused some concern at the time. Rob will make contact again shortly.
