“Mathew Boyle was exceptional. We were converting a large amount of money from Euros to Sterling and Mathew went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after and got the best rate possible. Mathew spent hours off his own back thinking of the best route forward for us to maximise the amount we received in sterling. The market was changing by the minute but Matthew was always very calm, professional and ensured we had the best up to date information on the markets for us to make the best informed decision we could. Would highly recommend the company and especially Matthew Boyle.”

“It’s always difficult knowing who to trust when dealing with a large sim if your own money. A place in the sun currency made by me feel reassured that my money would be safe. They provided a personal consultant from the moment I decided to sell my house in Portugal, to the final transferring of funds to the UK. My consultant Luke understood my needs and gave the correct amount of attention without being pushy. He kept an eye on the rates and helped me to make the right decision as to when to transfer the funds to get the best rate. Best of all, unlike other money exchange companies, they did not insist on holding my money until the rate was right, but gave three days to transfer the money once the decision was made.”

“We first met Matt Boyle back in March at the Place in the sun roadshow. Having put an offer in on a property, we had little to no idea about exchanging large sums of money and the vast fluctuations between different banks and companies so attended a seminar about large volume currency transfers. What we heard was enlightening so we took ourselves off to speak to Matt in person, one of the best things we did in the whole property buying process! He talked us through the steps and gave us his card, there was no pressure or sales pitch whatsoever. Over the next few months, we spoke regularly about the markets and the impacts of the economy on them, and he helped guide us to exchange money at good rates when the market picked up! It was a very smooth process throughout, and Matt was a pleasure to deal with!”

“Great service from Luke. Replies very quickly to enquiries. Due to complications with property sale, i was in touch over a 4 month period, obviously over that time the market was fluctuating and I had lots of questions. Luke was very patient and provided information so I could make an informed decision. It was very easy to make the transactions. They deliver on their promise as advertised. Highly recommended and will use again.”

“A Place in the Sun Currency and Luke Dyson in particular were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The service was straightforward and in terms of the transactions speedy. Luke was very easy to get hold of (Mon-Fri), clear about the process and he moved quickly to make our transactions happen. The exchange rates we were given were highly competitive and very close to the actual rates and the ability to buy currency in advance was also very helpful especially as we were buying currency in very turbulent markets. Very highly recommended!”
