“Very nice staff and they bought our used saxophone for a fair price but it took a few weeks for the money to go into our bank account so had to chase them up a couple of times.”

“By pressing a bell on the outside of the shop It quickly opened and I was asked to enter. I asked for guitar strings and they were collected quickly from their storage space. I collected them from a very friendly assistant, paid and left the shop.”

“Looked online for a small bass amp....but they don't have any amps at all. Guitar shops in Romford and Clacton on Sea allow customers to just walk into shop....no appointment needed. Shop always looks closed when you walk by. Shop by appointment notice makes customers feel that they are not wanted!”

“I have been a customer of Allegro Music for around 30 years. I recently upgraded my Tyros 2 keyboard and received excellent service as always. “Excellent service - booked an appointment as I was looking to buy a piano. Jo Cocklin provided a warm, friendly, attentive and professional overview of their current stock. The front door is locked during appointments to allow a quiet and uninterrupted slot for customers to browse, test and choose what they are looking for - yet with no pressure at all to buy. I very much enjoyed Jo's demos too! The other staff were very friendly too and made it far more of a personal experience. Highly recommended and am looking forward to receiving my piano! Thank you.”

“The Chelmsford branch still hasn't opened post-Covid - it's appointments only, which is no good for people who just happen to be in the town centre. I like to support local shops but I've given up with Allegro and I either buy my guitar stuff when I'm up in London or get it online. They're the last music shop left in the town, so it's a shame they are never open.”
