“What a fantastic find, I was away on holiday and happend to come across Alexandra Sports and noticed they did gait analysis. Jim was super helpful and so knowledgeable. I have give the trainers a test drive and no niggles at all and super comfortable for my long training session, would highly recommend if you are near any of the shops.”

“My consultation with Alexandra Sports was top class. I did not feel hurried in any way, and was able to absorb the information provided by my foot scan and podiatry walk before trying several pairs of trainers to get the right fit. Ran a PB at Parkrun the next day too!”

“Disappointing. Portsmouth staff member unenthusiastic and disengaged. Portsmouth branch had ZERO trainers in my (very average) size/pronation support. Was given a pair to try that were bigger than the size identified by my gait analysis (and didn't have pronation support either) - staff member didn't admit this until I said they felt too big. Also went to Winchester branch - trainers had not been set aside for me as promised. The trainers I tried on there were pronounced 'fine' fit-wise by the bored-seeming and uninterested staff member - they were not fine - way too tight as I need a wide and deep toe box. I also wasn't offered the opportunity to run in the trainers - on previous visits this has been standard and very useful. I won't be shopping at Alexandra Sports again.”

“Really great 1-2-1 session to choose which running trainers were going to be the right ones for me. The guy who led it was friendly, professional and thorough. I’m now loving my new trainers which has given me the motivation to get outside and run.”

“Have an ankle injury so was recommended a specific type of running shoe. I emailed ahead giving details including my required size and was told there were plenty available. When I made my appointment for the fitting following gait analysis it transpired there was not a single pair of shoes in my size so was a wasted trip. I now have to wait a further two weeks and return to try out the two pairs ordered. Whilst the service on the day was attentive, this wait was very frustrating”

I fully understand the frustration this can sometimes cause, despite us probably plenty of footwear in your size available, when we perform our in-depth gait analysis, the footwear selection naturally gets smaller so that we can accomodate the perfect models of footwear that fit your gait and foot type, especially when it comes to customers dealing with injuries. Not all shoes are built the same, so it seems that the footwear you specifically needed, we didn't have in your size at the time. I understand this can be dissapointing, however we will always custom order in any shoes that have been suggested by our team. I hope upon your return to try on your ordered shoes, you will see it was worth the wait. If you have any further queries or issues, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
