I ordered a swing set for my daughters birthday, scheduled to be delivered on the Friday before (her birthday being Sunday). It didn't arrive on the Friday. When I phoned up to check where it was at about half 3 I was informed that it had mysteriously missed the lorry and would be with me on Monday. When I explained that this would be too late I was told it could be put on a Saturday delivery. This wasn't ideal as we were planning to be out on Saturday at soft play with my daughter and her friends but better than nothing. I begged a favour from my parents who came to house sit and wait for it to arrive. And wait they did... it never arrived. On Monday morning I phoned up and there was no explanation as to what happened so I cancelled the order. Not a good experience at all.

Not at all happy theres no mention of not shipping to Northern Ireland we are still part of the UK u know and then having to wait 4 days for a refund from a payment u took in seconds ! Im happy to pay shipping but u nevet offered !

Hi Annette. We apologise that you are unhappy with the service provided on our website. Our delivery page clearly states that we only ship to mainland UK addresses, and that we cannot ship to Northern Ireland at this time. Furthermore, your payment was taken automatically during the evening when our office is closed. Your refund was issued at 8:43am the following morning and processed by PayPal on the same day. We are very sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by your experience with our site.

Terrible customer service. I ordered a climbing frame and then several days later I got an email saying that they had oversold and had no stock left. You should know your stock levels before you allow customers to purchase!

Fixings missing from box. Toy table and track useless without them. No response from activitytoysdirect to my email. When phoned in, waited for 30 min apr. and got cut off. Bought as a present for my son for Christmas and can’t use it!!!

Good afternoon. We're very sorry that your product was missing parts. The office has been closed over the Christmas period from the 22nd of December until today, as was specified on our contact page, and so we haven't been taking calls or emails. However, this issue has now been resolved via email earlier today and we have sent out your missing parts. Our contact page strongly advised checking products before Christmas, to ensure that there is enough time for us to resolve any problems such as this. Step2 products come pre-packaged from the US and as such we aren't aware of any parts that may be missing until they reach the customer. I ordered a swing on 15 December, you accepted and I paid. You promised delivery on Tuesday 19 December. On the Tuesday 19 Dec you cancelled the order and refunded my money. You stated in the email you had oversold your stock but your website stated it was in stock when I ordered it. Unfortunately this left me insufficient time to order, have delivered and assemble a replacement swing. I failed to fulfil my promised present to my grandaughter. She will be upset. I am upset. You failed me.

We are very sorry that you were unhappy with the service on our website. Our stock status generally reflects the status of our warehouse, however during busy periods such as Christmas there are occasionally discrepancies which may cause us to oversell. Unfortunately your order was one such affected by this. Furthermore, our records show that your order was placed on the 17th of December, which was a Sunday, and was then cancelled and refunded less than 24 hours later on Monday the 18th. We are very sorry for any disappointment that may have been caused over the Christmas period.

We were Told you didn’t have it after taking the order and payment so then I told my grandson he would be getting it , he was very very exited ,now you have refunded but this is not the issue ,absolutely seething and disappointed from a company where my family have purchased many toys, we called customer services but were told basically they cannot supply the toy, it’s still on the bloody website!!

Item showed as in stock on the website, i placed my order for my 3 year olds climbing frame, only to get an email the next day saying they have OVER SOLD! the item and offered a refund or wait until they know when they get stock in. only good thing was using PayPal and getting a same day refund!

Can't write product review as not all elements of swing set delivered on requested date. How do you explain to grandchildren that their bank holiday surprise didn't turn up? Two phone calls and still waiting ..... Now a week overdue. Supposed to arrive today but no email or text to confirm this. So disappointed and genuinely feel some compensation is due. Just hope that end product is worth all this trouble.

I ordered a swing set for my grandson's birthday about 4 or 5 days in advance of his birthday on the 11th, which the company said would be delivered by courier on the 11th. It was not delivered and there was no notification at all that it had not been delivered. I wrote to the company on the 14th only to be told that they had no idea where it was, but were looking for it! They kindly said they would send a replacement but I thought the service was not quite up to standard.

We did not receive our goods on next day delivery as promised and no contact was made to tell us so we waited in all day then I complained and they promised it would be the next day so we waited in again eventually they turned up three days late. No apology from you.

I ordered a trampoline on Monday which arrived on Wednesday so was very happy with the delivery unfortunately when we went to assemble it we noticed that the trampoline had a tear/rip in it and so we had to pack it all away and report the fault - I'm waiting to hear back when a replacement will be sent. Very disappointing as it was our daughters birthday present!

I placed an order with you only for it to be cancelled because you deliver only to mainland UK addresses.live on the Isle of Man where your carriers,TNT,have a depot.Why not give your potential customers the option of paying towards carriage costs,I would not expect free carriage but your mainland customers enjoy free carriage which is obviously subsidised by your good selves surely some middle ground could be found,we are not on the back of the Moon and it is the 21st century!

I had my order cancelled. And when I called up to find out why. I was told a load of lies about being contacted. I was then called by a director as i was complaining and his words were ' we sell to who ever we like and can cancel orders when we feel like it, maby this director should have a look at his terms.

Item turned up on time, but was missing a crucial part which rendered it completely useless. Not the fault directly of Activity Toys Direct, but 24 hours after requesting a refund I have heard ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from them.

I ordered a bed and mattress for my son's birthday. Only the bed arrived, so he was unable to sleep in it on his birthday. I then had to take a second day off work to be at home for the delivery of the mattress. No compensation was offer.

Not only the item arrive 2 weeks after I ordered it rather that the 4 working days that you've stated on your website, the colours were not as seen on your website. I have specifically pick the item for the vibrant colours of red and white however when it arrived, it was beige and orange! This is the second time this happened to me (first time I ordered pink walker and it arrived red and green) and I will not be buying anything from your website anymore!
