“I believe the company works in principal really well / delivers good produce . Delivery scheduled for last Friday but now rescheduled for next Tuesday . Still waiting for it but communication was good so far and delay is understandable given circumstances ! They want ensure reliable cooled delivery , so am very happy to accept the delay . Keep going - food deliveries so important at the moment !”

“Excellent service and quality.The well reared mangalitza pork has a lovely texture and flavour.It would be wonderful if the company could produce the bacon without the nitrites which I assume are the preservatives. Very satisfied.”

“My order arrived today, and I was SO excited to receive it. Imagine my disappointment when I picked up the burgers to cook them for supper this evening and spotted that they contain wheat 🌾. As a diagnosed Coeliac, it means that I am unable to even try them, and as they are the mangalitsa pork, they weren’t cheap. They had also largely defrosted on their journey to me, so I now have to use them all very quickly. Ho hum 🤔 at least I still have the bacon to look forward to. Maybe think about making it more obvious on your site that your burgers don’t just contain meat?”

Hi Ally, Thanks for leaving your review. We've been looking at the situation with reference to product descriptions on the website and how we can best act to remedy the issue you have highlighted. Although we do only currently make one product which is gluten free, and advertise it as such, we do agree it will make life easier for everyone if we list the Allergens on all of the processed products that are made here at The Butchery, and that is our intention going forward. We hope this will address any issues that you and fellow Coeliacs encounter when you shop online with us.

“the service was good and the product arrived in good order my only down point is the fact that the available selection of "alternative" meats is drastically lower than in previous years. so i had to source other providers for galacian beef, crocodile, kangaroo, ostrich and wild bore etc”

“Only eaten the pork wellington and it was good. Cooking instructions were not very accurate as it took 20 minutes longer than explained.”

“I work as a chef and when I received the wagyu I have to say it was a good quality beef and a great roast dinner and the leftovers was perfect for sandwiches”
