“No big complaints. The fan is software-controlled, so you can tune when it kicks in. The fan is noticeable but nothing that will cause it to be a deal-breaker in a quiet environment.”
“Works like a charm with my Cisco switch.
It is not compatible with the GFX HAT though, even with the longer 40 pin header. As components on the bottom of the GFX HAT directly sit on the fan of the PoE HAT.”
“Works well, is able to power the raspberry pi4, the official touchscreen and a few neopixels without any issues. Very handy and I'll probably be buying a few more too.”
“Does what it says on the tin. I was hoping to remove the fan and have a large passive heatsink poking through the hole. Unfortunately, the power converter on the HAT gets far too hot for that and needs the forced air cooling.
The background noise is irritating. Its far too load for a media player but for building Gentoo on the Pi4, it keeps my desk tidy.
Only four starts as I need to add passive cooling to the power converter to operate it fanless”
“Works perfect but issue when using the poe hat with pi4w Rasspberry knows about it. When using poe hat v2, pi 4 does not shutdown. It reboots from itself. But poe is great!”
