“The hotel is lovely we liked the quiet location very nice for a walk in the country side with the dog .our problem was on the first night we waited about one hour for our dinner. on day two and three some of the breakfast food was cold we're told the hot plate keeps tripping .and at dinner time on day three there was three meals missing from the menu which was bad because on the first day we were told the hotel was busy all week”

“3rd visit 1st 2days were excellent but 3rd time ad fish an chips it was unedible fish well wldnt call it a fish it tasted of perfume an batter rock hard chips were tasting like theyd been in a 3rd fry . Breakfast lost the personal touch etc not table service its now get your own which was cold”

“Had a lovely couple of days at the dunes hotel. Staff were all excellent and really looked after us and our pooch and 9 week old baby. Comfy rooms, excellent dog beach nearby. Food was fantastic. We plan on coming back”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Very good value and the package we had through Pets Pyjamas was first class.

“Hotel was out of the way, which we knew and that suited us. Welcome at reception was great and the young man on reception during the day was very friendly and helpful. The room was quite large and clean. Bathroom looked newly done but no toilet roll holder. Food was good once it arrived. Staff in bar had to multitask but they coped very well. Dogs were spoilt by everyone.”

“Hotel is very nice, beautiful beach very close by. Staff were all lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Location is good if you don’t mind a drive but not really suitable for walking to/from the hotel.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Unfortunately I think over all the accommodation could do with a bit of a refresh not as good as first visit Unfortunately

“This is our 2nd visit to the Dunes Hotel, sorry to say this time was a bit of a let down and we were dissapointed. There was no toy, treat or bed in the room this time for our toy poodle like the 1st time. Food was not as good and worth the money. Bins not emptied in our room or tea cups washed during our stay until we complained or toilet rolls replenished. Exterior looking a little run down weeds growing everywhere...unfortunately such a shame, however staff very friend towards our dog and us .”

“Could be a fantastic hotel but a few things let it down. The "Executive"room we were given which was for guests with dogs was looking a bit tired especially the bathroom also we had to ask for the pet bed which was supposed to be supplied. All the staff were lovely but felt the hotel was understaffed especially in the restaurant as we had unacceptable waiting times for our evening meals, the food when it came was good. We had to ask for our free cocktail as it was never offered also the person on the front desk knew nothing about the free pack of Caboodle dog food we were supposed to receive on checkout as part of our Barking Britain package!!! Also the beach is more like a half hour walk away and you would be better driving to it as once there it's lovely.”

“Breakfasts were fantastic. Evening menu limited out of certain thing’s like steak. You advertise dog treats on arrival and weekend goodies for our dogs and cocktails. No bowls no doggy welcome pack so you shouldn’t advertise these things! You also have to drive to the beach as it’s not a short walk to the dunes. The staff were lovely and supplied us with dog beds but knew nothing about your free sausage for the dogs and doggy treats pack with snacks. Good job I took cool box with dogs meals and bowls.The hotel exterior needs sorting looked run down render hanging off, guttering and down pipes missing and fencing broken and layed over with grass needing some care. Also the hotel has an industrial estate feel with wagons driving past regularly to the recycling plant at the side and rear. You look down at scrap metal pilled up and old scrap tankers and trailers outside rotting away and you also get road noises looking down to the main busy road. There were a few others staying there with there pets but 90% of the hotel rooms were booked by workmen, I counted over 30 vehicles mainly vans. Plenty of early morning noise with all going to early breakfast before work. The staff were lovely and helpful but your advert is so fare from the truth with no treats how dare you advertise this break as you do? Very dissatisfied with your advert as nothing at all like your advertisement barking break. I have more to say but enough for now.”
