“The Dunes is an extremely dog friendly hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. There is a large field at the hotel for you to exercise your dog and the coast is a 5 min drive. There are plenty of places to visit nearby. The weather wasn't great during our stay but it did not spoil a lovely short break. The food was good and their fish ( caught locally) and chips were exceptional. We would certainly go back again.”

“We stayed at The Dunes over Christmas. On entering the hotel we were warmly welcomed by a lovely log burner in the foyer. The hotel was lovely and relaxed, rooms were clean, staff friendly and helpful. The bed was enormous, bedding spotless and SO comfortable. The food was lovely and service was great. Christmas Day dinner was lovely, the staff worked so hard and efficiently all courses were served hot and it was so tasty. We had not been away with our little dog before, but the staff made it so easy, and really welcomed her, which was nice - she even had special treats, fresh water at every meal and was offered breakfast every morning! Would recommend to anyone with a well behaved dog.”

“Absolutely brilliant place to stay for our annual Xmas break with the puppy. Tha staff were brilliant and really looked after us, especially Gary, Shaun, Adi and Page. Some may say it's a little bit remote, being isolated, but if you really want peace and quiet, the Dunes is ideal. The sand dunes themselves are a short 10min drive away offering a large walking area. We shall return next spring with family and friends.”

“Had a wonderful Christmas thanks to the friendly staff that not only made us feel welcome but made Murphy (our dog) feel at home. Nothing was to much trouble. Hotel was clean and inviting, and only a short drive from the beach. Will definitely be going back again”

“The staff was lovely. They had prepped the room with a birthday card for my wife. They took great care of our dog making sure she had treats and a sausage in the morning. Lovely stay overall. Would highly recommend it.”

“The dunes hotel is a fantastic place to stay, this is down to the fantastic friendly staff. It’s a great place to eat, not pub food, but real restaurant quality. Breakfasts were fantastic. Super dog friendly place. Great place to explore the lakes”
