Another major bargain from mx5parts! Superb quality, 100% polished Stainless Steel, single exit exhaust for the Mk1. Made exclusively by us, for us, this great exhaust has 57mm main pipework and a 90mm dual sleeve exit pipe.Tested and confirmed BHP Gain of 4 - 5! (Also increased torque)Supplied complete with all gaskets and fixing bolts. Fits Mk1 1989>1996 (upto chassis number JMZ...308212) having either the 370 or 440mm cat (please check!). Looks like it should be £300.00 worth. Five year warranty!

“Wow! Beautiful bit of kit..... But... warning.... This is very loud! In conjunction with the de-cat pipe, its a really well made system, and the sound (note) is fantastic, but for me its a little too loud, especially above 2500rpm, which is really where you want to be all the time! In town I am now dawdling around so I dont wake up the whole neighbourhood! Hopefully it will calm down after some longer drives have clogged up the system a bit. Top service from MX5 parts as usual.”

“I've had this exhaust on for over 6 months now and I'm writing another review. Initially I said it was a bit on the loud side any that maybe a two silencer system should be an option. Having lived with it for some time now I'd like to point out that its only 'a bit loud' when you floor the throttle - but as a sports exhaust it makes a beautiful note and several of my friends (who drive Skylines, Evo's, M3s etc) have commented on how nice the note is. On light throttle e.g. driving on a carriageway at 60mpg or motorway at 70mph its not intrusive at all - my pregnant wife and 65yo parents have no complaints about being in this car. Compare this with my MR2 turbo with a Mongoose exhaust which is very boomy at exactly 70mph - and the relatives don't like being driven around in it due to the noise! If you want total silence then its not for you. If you like a sporty note that suits the MX5's sporty personality and want a well engineered product then you'll only regret it if you buy a different make of exhaust - get this one!”

“Excellent service from MX5 Parts - ordered Monday at 2.30pm arrived Tuesday at midday.Fitted at my local exhaust specialist in 15 minutes flat! Good quality piece of kit - hoping that it lasts for a long time. Sounds just right, not too "boy racer - ish" just as a sports car should sound. (mine has a catalyst fitted as it was manufactured in 1994).Many thanks to MX5 parts.”

“Easy to fit (the old one came off easy with the help of an angle grinder!), looks great (if you're lying on the ground) and sounds sporty. My MoT tester said it was one of the best quality finishes he'd seen on a stainless system at any price! And, yes, he did pass it.”

“Quality piece of kit, very easy to fit, and looks excellent. Quite a few remarks about the loudness of the pipes, it's a personal thing, I think it sounds great, though if you do a lot of motorway speeds, it might drone a little. For me, the best hundred and eighty pounds I've spent on the car, so far ..”
