The Typhoon™ Air Intake System is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to provide cooler, denser air to the engine for increased performance. It is a direct replacement for the restrictive OE air box and the constrictive factory air filter and inlet tract. “superb bit of kit.fitted to mk2.5 perfect.ive used the k&n panel filter for a year and what a difference it made.decided to go for something a bit more and wow the engine is now roaring.the sound just puts a smile on your face.the more the revs the more the grin.acceleration greatly improved.worth every penny.you just don't want to stop driving!!!”

“très bien fabriqué, bien adapté pour le modèle de voiture et un super son lors d'accélération à bonne charge (et des talon-pointe à faire jouir), petit bémol, si vous souhaitez neutraliser le reniflard de vapeur d'huile, ils n'ont pas pensez à vous mettre une durite "bouchon" pour combler le trou ... dommage.”

“Ordered late on Monday evening and the kit was delivered prompt on Wednesday morning. 45 minutes later and my 1.8 Nevada is sounding sweeter than ever. The sound from 2nd gear through to 5th is awesome. Throttle response seems sharper too (despite what the cynics say). Fantastic service from MX5 Parts. I'm sure I'll be ordering from you again.”

“Easy to fit,I Have the Chrome one,looks very nice,the only thing is i am Very disappointed with the noise,what noise!. That was the main reason for my purchase, Not noticeable on the performance either, maybe i should have saved my £225?”

“Excellent product will be matching this with the dual mx5 stainless steel exhaust which is apparently a good combination. The K&N filter is good as this gives a good noise when accelerating, but not a cruising speed. Easy to fit, only one issue i had, on my mk 2 1998. To remove the original main filter housing i needed to loosen and remove the washer fluid unit, as this was obstructing one of the bolts. This was not a problem, but you may need to do this if you have my model, as this was not specified in the instructions.”

“Quality piece of kit. Delivered next day. The instructions look a little daunting and suggest 90 mins to install. Honestly, this took less than half hour. When the old system is removed, assemble the new kit and it will all become obvious. The performance is much better”
