The Typhoon™ Air Intake System is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to provide cooler, denser air to the engine for increased performance. It is a direct replacement for the restrictive OE air box and the constrictive factory air filter and inlet tract. “The service of MX5 Parts is unreal - I ordered the Typhoon, the IL exhaust and clear repeaters at 8pm on Easter Monday and they have arrived at 11Am this morning - Hats of to you guys, brilliant!!! Now to get it fitted!!!!”

“good quality, fits perfectly, easy to mount.When you drive the car "normally", it will sound the same as before which is a big plus for me.You only get that nice sporty sound when you ask for it ;-)One minor detail: another review said there were blue silicon hoses with the set. They are just plain black. But that is just a minor detail.”

“YOU MUST BUY THIS!!! As long as you have sockets, screwdrivers, allen keys, an mx5 and eyes that read english you can fit this in half an hour. Only had half hour drive before the ILM exhaust went on too, but this was the more influential part in improving the driving experiance. Both in terms of the throttle response and the sound which is simply glorious over 3500 rev's. I almost regret fitting the exhaust so soon, because it overpowers the Typhoon's howl for most of the rev range, but you can still feel the extra urgency in the pedal and that's the main thing. I recomend an exhaust too, but as I repeat elsewhere, if you have to choose what you get, the Typhoon is the absolute first thing that should be on your shopping list!!!”

“Once again excellent service, parts team answered any questions I had about the typhoon and it was delivered within 2 days, clear instructions made fitting easy, about 45 mins.One problem, how to stop keeping the revs above 4000rpm so that I can enjoy that soundExcellent!”

“AMAZING! i bought this after quite a few doubts that it would be worth the money, but now knowing what it sounds like i would pay double!great service and delivery took 2 days and were currently under 1 foot of snow, so you cant ask for more than that. i have had a week of work having pulled my back but still managed to fit this in under an hour. the instructions that were provided were really easy to understand.now anything above 2k revs just makes you grin from ear to ear. also the CD player is strictly OFF!”
