MK2 : Did the job but it needed quite a bit of filing and drilling to get the holes lined up. The trim surround had to be tamed by putting it in boiling water before fitting ( so it would mould to the plinth) and the plastic bolts which come with the kit were not up to the job so had to be replaced by a couple of self tapping screws. Apart from that , it was easy!

I am not one to ever write on message boards, forums etc, but have been compelled to here, due to the dreadful quality of this product. I read all the reviews before purchasing and thought \'it can\'t be that bad\'. But please believe me. It is. A poor fit, poor alignment with previous holes, a seal that doesn\'t stay on, splitting with the slightest pressure, I could go on. Please don\'t think \'it can\'t be that bad\' like I did and waste £20. I promise you, it is.Editors Note: Sorry to hear this product did not meet your expectations, a member of the customer services team will be in touch with you shortly to discuss.

Delivery the best BUT the plinth is the worst fitting piece of plastic ever the bosses inside the plinth hit the bumper and keep the sides away from the you can see the floor looking down. I will know go to Mazda dealer and buy the right on, spoils the front of my car.And No its not on upside down.Alan YatesEditors Note: Sorry to hear you have had problems with this item. We suspect that you may have been supplied the incorrect plinth as the Mk1 / Mk2 and 2.5 are all different. A member of our customer services team will be in touch soon to help sort this out.

I think that these are of awful quality; too thin and brittle. Mine cracked badly 1 week after installation. Because the plinth had been fitted there is no chance of a refund. Not happy. Please check forums and consider alternatives before buying one of these.

Amazingly quick delivery. Very impressed. The plinth is easy to fit and provided a good replacement for my previously damaged item!

I bought my mk1 Eunos with it's front number plate being a sticker on the front bumper... not acceptable for Mr Plod. So I bought this plinth and ordered up a nice new shiny number plate to stick on the front at the acceptable 90 degree angle. Easy enough to fit (having roped my brother into doing that for me) and looks smart too, perhaps moreso because the sticker looked nasty anyway but it's a nice addition to the car. Then... on my return to the car one evening after work, I noticed some inconsiderate, ill-mannered, irresponsible driver had backed into the front of my pretty Eunos and trashed the plinth!! After taking a few deep breaths, I decided that the bright side was that the bumper hadn't been damaged. I reckon the plinth stands out enough to make someone realise they've bumped you and not go any further... therefore not damaging the bumper. So, I decided it could have been worse. Yes, here I am buying another plinth and hoping it lasts longer than the last one did but at the same time, it's worth having that wee bit extra on the front to alert some thoughtless driver. Buy one, they're great ;-)

Usual good delivery service. Took longer to fit than expected. Shape differs from original plinth which sat higher up the nose so had to t-cut damaged paint before fitting (original plinth has been loose). Maybe the original was a mark 1 wrongly fitted by the dealer? Didn't like clumsy thick edging strip supplied which I had to cut into 3 pieces to fit - much thicker than the original. No mention at all of this strip in the fitting instructions! Plinth fixings supplied didn't work (too loose) so had to reuse old ones - no problem really. having said all that the finished job actually looks better on the car than the original so am pleased with it.

It would be unfair to say that the number plate plinth was a terrible product but i have bought several and i won't do it anymore. The plastic is so thin and brittle the slightest nudge and it cracks. Nearly £20 a time is a lot for a piece of plastic that shatters so easily. Isn't it possible to get a better quality plastic plinth - I would happily pay more for something that is going to last!
