“Está bem conseguida esta peça! Mas na minha encomenda a borracha é demasiado curta! tive que corta-la em três partes (horizontal/cima e as laterais) e mesmo assim numa das laterais fica à vista que falta mais um pouco de borracha!”

“Bought to replace the existing plinth, which was cracked. Quality of plastic not wonderful, but no worse than the original. The holes lined up with those already in the bumper so in theory should have been very easy to fit, however:a) The supplied fittings had been manufactured incorrectly; the "expanding outer sleeve" did not expand when the pin was inserted, so the plinth just fell off again. I had to re-use the old sleeves from the plinth I'd just taken off (luckily I hadn't binned or broken them!).b) The rubber protection strip had to be fitted - this was extremely fiddly to get it to stay on, with no guidence on how best to do it. In order to get it to bend 90 deg at the corners I heated the strip with a candle, folded to shape then cooled it under a cold tap. I then glued the strip in place before fitting the plinth to the car. Would have been useful to have known this before removing the old plinth, and would have done it the day before to allow the glue to set.”

“Ordered and fitted this a couple of years ago, not very happy with the quality to be honest. The plastic inserts supplied with it both broke when I tried to fit them, the material of which the plinth is made is extremely brittle and I doubt it would take any "small parking nudge at all". The plinth actually cracked slightly on one side while fitting it. Is this really a Mazda part ? I doubt it looking at the material. Or was the product I ordered at the time not exactly this one ? Pity, really, because other than that I can't fault MX5parts (good website, on-time deliveries even into France, good prices compared to my local dealer, etc...).”

“I recently bought one of these plinths, with some trepidation, having read some of the reviews.I couldn't fault the product. It lined up exactly and was virtually the same specification as the original removed from my car. I am no great mechanic but it took me about ten minutes to fit.This is the first order I have placed with MX5 parts and certainly won't be the last.”

“Fast next day delivery, mine was slightly damaged when it arrived so after discussing this with mx5 parts and showing some piccies they replaced it next day again with a perfect unit. well chuffed now, looks great and i even bought some new plates to go on it. Despite the initial problems ive given this a 5 star because of the great aftersales service.”

“Nothing amazing about this. Its a plinth, very easy to fit.. If I can fit it, where my experience of tools is passing a screwdriver to someone, then anyone can! Screws supplied were plastic ones and I found wouldn't screw in after a couple of turns as the screwdriver wore away the cross of the screw, just utilised the old metal screws I had removed from the old plinth.Job's a good'en and car looks much better.Very clear instructions, very, very quick delivery.”

“not very happy with this item,not cheap to buy and mine has shatterd after being hit by a stone or somthing but it should be able to take knock like that.”
