“Poor fit. Plastic form is warped/twisted, so does not sit flush. A good 10mm gap looking at the top edge. A piece of plastic edging was included. I can only imagine to try and hide the rough finish or help fill the gap, but doesn't help much. The fixings aren't long enough either. I dare say it will be going in the bin once I've sourced the original from Mazda.”

“This item is cheap and flimsy and must have cost all of 50p to produce. Fortunately it is very flexible and therefore can be made to just about fit.”

“This is the second Plinth I have had to fit due to the length of the clips supplied to hold the plinth on.Yes the clips fit into the holes but they are intended to fit through the plinth to the back of the bumper before splaying at the ends. The clips supplied are too short and will hold the plinth but not with the weight of the number plate on it.For the price paid I would have expected a better quality item with less flimsy plastic and mounting clips of a sufficient size to do the job intended.”

“I have a mk1 Eunos and the drilled holes in the plinth seem to be about 1cm further apart than in the original one and the threads in the car body. There's also no thread or guide hole for the number plate screws to screw into.”

“Brilliant service by the guys at MX5 parts received a box of goodies inc this item a bit awkward to fit at first but ok in end however not a perfect fit after ladt one removed as top of plinth did not meet old surround consequently a scuff mark due to wear & tear showing but otger than that all good x”
