“Fantastic piece of kit.
I was already using a cast iron casserole, which was producing great bread, the challenger has lifted the quality level of my bread. I get blisters on my sourdough without effort, and it produces very consistent results.
I think the main difference is in the way the pan seals the moisture in, the lip is taller than on the casserole.
Other benefits are the design of the pan which makes it much easier to use. I no longer need to introduce steam into the pan, and I can also bake two oblong loaves at a time.
An expensive piece of kit, but in my opinion, well worth the s[pend, especially if you want to raise the levels of your sourdough baking.
Delivery was quick and the purchase price was extremely competitive. It arrived extremely well packaged.
