“Fab tasting loaf, usually make bread with 50% Cotswold Crunch, 40% white and 10% stoneground wholemeal. Tastes so good, I like to eat the toast with margarine on it and nothing else. A hit with everyone in our house.”
“This is one of the best flour mixes I have ever had. I baked it successfully with combination of walnuts and dates and it makes and amazingly warm smelling loaf with a nice distinct crust, even if you are not using sourdough. The flavour is amazing, warm, nutty and a slight hint of caramel.
I found it the first time in Aldi actually but they discontinued it. I was happy to find it for the same price at bakery bits.”
“This is the first time I have used the Cotswold crunch and it most assuredly wont be the last. I often find that malted flours used at 100 percent can be a little overpowering, so I used this at 50 percent and the other half strong Manitoba white. The flavour, rise, texture and oven spring were all faultless as was the service from Bakery Bits as usual, so I would have no hesitation in recommending the company and their products to anyone. This is one of the best malted flour blends I have used in many years of baking. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!”
“This makes really tasty bread, not my favourite flavoured flour but very nearly. I think I had to use more water than normal otherwise the loaf was a bit dense but really tasty bread none the less.
Would definitely buy it again.”
