Ordering and delivery was very smooth with very carefully packaging protecting a heavy but fragile item. The stone fits the oven perfectly and produces a great stonebaked bread with lots of spring.

I've been making sourdough bread for a few years. My husband has always said the various ovens do not get up to temperature properly, so he bought me this baking stone. Yes I have to leave it heating for about 40 minutes (oven says it is at temperature after minutes or 10 minutes but it isn't with the thermometer) before putting the dough in but WOW what a difference in dough expansion and overall great result. A huge improvement and then I can turn the oven off and still bake cookies as the stone retains heat for hours.

Sorry, this proved to be too heavy - especially for my wife to handle. It was also a slightly difficult fit within our oven. Unfortunately, we have given this stone away and now seek a suitable alternative - slightly smaller and less weight.

Nicely finished black granite slab 400x300mm. Heavy for some to lift in and out of the oven. Holds the heat well.

Fits my oven shelf perfectly, I've always used a baking tray before but feel this makes a difference, love the way it looks as well

It’s heavy! Has made a huge difference to home baked bread and pizza. Very happy with this. And the service as usual is excellent from Bakery Bits!

Stone was delivered quite quick. After initial inspection, I found that it has a 11mm viseble scratch on the polished surface and slight chip next to it, which was only noticeable when sliding the finger over it. Contacted the company and they assured me that it will not effect the stones performance and as a good will they refunded some of the cost. Good customer service. I baked some sourdough bread on it since then, which turned out much better than on the metal baking tray.

Ideal for using in my AGA. Quite heavy for my wife to lift in and out but easy for me. Would recommend to other home bakers.
