With its very thin razor blade it cuts the softest of doughs without tearing it and though you can apparently curve the blade simply by bending it, something that I rather tentatively tried, I use it, as it comes, with a straight blade. I'm vey happy with it.

Prompt arrival. Does just as intended, with a bit of practice you get a nice clean slash without tearing or dragging. Replacement blades were a bit pricey.

I ordered the Bordelaise Grignette and two bakery bags. Fine quality, great service and a very informative website. Epecially about the grignette, it was a great help to have the use explained and learn from the comparison of different grignettes/lames. Great Service. Although I find the postage a Little bit too expensice.

I like the idea of this grignette, but as I constantly swap between using a curved blade and a straight one I have managed to snap the metal spine of the blade-holder after about 12 weeks use. I'm sure it should last longer than that...and it is specifically sold as being flexible and able to be bent into a curve for baguettes etc. Not best pleased with this.
