“Terrible service. As like so m y other reviews on here, I ordered parts and got an email back with a bogus tracking number for yodel. I waited a week for the items, no sign of them. Emailed ironmongery world no response. Phoned and got some flannel about the delivery driver not having scanned the parcel properly. Phoned again after the weekend to be told that they haven’t even got the items from their supplier despite their on-hold spiel saying that they forge everything themselves. No apology just poor service.”

“Patiently, I ordered the same item on 4 separate occasions and not one arrived!! Hence my lack of patience now! They simply do not dispatch and just email a false tracking number that never progresses from collection via Royal Mail. Their responses are a joke too! I’ve shown them the respect in giving them numerous chances, and they give absolutely no respect back. Utterly dismissive and unprofessional. Single worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.”

“I placed two orders with this company. Delivery was fast, and one of the products was OK. The other was substandard, so I returned the items in May. Despite chasing on numerous occasions both by phone, and by email, I have not received my refund. The products were returned using their preferred method, tracked, and I can see that they were taken receipt of. They have basically stolen my money. If you don't anticipate having to return any items you may wish to use them, but I would strongly advise avoiding this company.”

“WARNING: DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS COMPANY. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Update: I've change my review from poor to very poor, because when I went to install my airer, both of the pulleys broke, despite me following the instructions. These pulleys are very poorly made. I have ordered replacement for another company. Wish I'd spent the extra money and get a better product in the first place. Original review: As far as I can see, the times that I bought are of good quality [THEY DEFINITELY ARE NOT], at a reasonable price. However, the customer service from this company is awful. My 'next-day' deliver took thee weeks to arrive after calling them up on at least four different occasions. Twice I was told that the item had been sent, which was a lie. “I bought the 4 Lath Victorian ceiling pulley, I ordered it on Tuesday and it was delivered on Thursday. Pulley is excellent and came with all the fittings, Laths and rope. Even though this is my first purchase, I would recommend them as everything went smoothly and arrived on time.”

“I'm in the same situation as many others here. Ordered items that never arrived. The company does not respond to emails, however I did get through on the phone and spoke to a lady who could barely speak English. She gave me two different excuses for why my order hadn't been dispatched. I am awaiting a refund through PayPal. Useless company!”

“I placed a small test order given all the negative reviews, items arrived on time. I then placed a bigger order which hasn't arrived. I had an e-mail saying all items were dispatched but no delivery and Customer Services don't have tracking details. They say they need to speak to the warehouse and will call me back, they don't. They can't say if the order has been dispatched or not. Thankfully, I paid using PayPal so I will open a dispute.”

“Really poor service. Will never use this company again, really wish I had seen the reviews on Google and I would have stayed well clear. They offer next day delivery, but after chasing them up on numerous occasions, and was given many different excuses for the delays. Its turns out they import from abroad, and next day is just one of their many lies. After 2 weeks of still no products or them being able to give me any sort of time scale. Still waiting......... Avoid.”
