About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 25 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Merthyr Tydfil, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“Always been a customer at Ross pool. High standards, friendly staff and great gym classes. Changing/shower facilities are one of the better ones I've been to. Wouldn't go anywhere else :).”

“I have been visiting the centre to use the over 60’s swimming sessions that are on offer at 8am in the morning. The centre is always clean, as are the changing rooms and the pool area. I will happily continue as long as the sessions are on offer.”

“I love Ross on Wye Halo centre, all the staff are great so nice and friendly from the swimming instructors to the gym guys and all in between are amazing and so supportive and always there to help you with a smile thank you to you all.”

“well maintained and well staffed great gym , friendly staff that always there to help . One small complaint if I had one is the flush in the men's toilet , you need to be able to bench 200lbs to push it. Apart from that , very pleased”

“The biggest and most beneficial change is having the card which enables me to 'clock' in without having to wait in a long line. I'm still taking part in Easy circuits and enoying the apparatus in the gym. I hope to join in with adult learning to swim lessons and hope this activity will be free for concession members.”
