“Asking for a review BEFORE the item is received is never a brilliant idea?!! ..... chased item and was told it was unavailable. I was left wondering if I'd've found this out if I hadn't chased it up?? Refund issued so I'm back to square One some three weeks after starting ..... not greatest outcome I've ever experienced.”

Hello Jennie, Thank you for your review, we are sorry there has been a delay with your order due to our supplier being out of stock. I can see that an e-mail was sent over to you on 19th advising that they don't have a confirmed date for new stock to arrive at the moment and asking how you would like to proceed but unfortunately we have not had a response yet. “Ordering from the website was easy. Delivery was fairly quick. Unfortunately, the fireplace fender arrived damaged. The corner bars were in the box but were not connected because the corner piece that should have been screwed into place to hold the bars in place is damaged because the screw threads will not tighten”

“Order processed easily, contacted company over a week after order to be told there was a month delay on receiving goods. If I had not contacted them then I would still be waiting for purchase as they did not advise of this.”

“Unfortunately our Frete arrived damaged after telephoning it was agreed to replace broken Frete all down to delivery service not giving enough care and the packaging did not have enough support only cardboard packaging could have done with something more robust So still on order and waiting for replacement to arrive hopefully undamaged”

“The item I ordered was out of stock but 10days later, no-one had informed me so I have now missed the Christmas slot for buying this elsewhere as a present for my parents - very disappointed. An email would have done, but if I hadn't chased this up, I'm not sure I would ever have been informed. Communication could be improved. Regards, Avril Hardy”

“Ordered the deluxe fire guard the measurements height was 611mm which would have fitted perfectly. They didn’t include the legs which bumped it over 8mm which then didn’t fit. Now I am stuck with a fire guard which doesn’t fit!”

“Perhaps a danger of buying over the internet is that you don't see the item. I hadn't realized that the fender was pressed steel and consisted of just a front and top: no back or bottom. As I want to use it with an open fire, the embers I want to ensure stay in the hearth would go under the fender and onto the carpet. I have thus had to make a back from an old, oblong, steel bar which I happened to have. It now works, but I didn't anticipate that a DIY job would be necessary.”

“Didn't recieve product yet (customs), hope to have it end of the week ?(ordered 28.10...) and high costs product 52,17 € + shipping 50,09 € + bankcost (€/£) 27,83 € + customs 15 € + VAT 9,80 € = 154,89 € (= 200%). Why not payment with mastercard and registered for import EU ? KR”

“Ordered 2 tins of heat proof paint. Checked the delivery date, which was fine. When nothing arrived I contacted them and apparently one of the tins was out of stock and would not be in stock in March. They insisted I would have known this when I ordered, but there was nothing to say this when I ordered and paid and checked the delivery date. They issued a refund quickly but unimpressed with their website and them trying to pass the blame onto me.”
