Very difficult to get through the procedure. And rebooking appointments due to Covid, a long process with no warning, which is still incomplete

Is this another joke? I took the day off work on Monday to attend the appointment only to be told they had ballsed up my paperwork, so I had to rebook. All this means I lost a days wages and will lose more money travelling to Stirling. I'm trying to be reimbursed but apparently they don't do that, even when they're in the wrong. I'm trying to complain but they are now ignoring. All this and the lassie on the phone (Nor) is incompetent at best or a wind up merchant at worst. Your company is a complete joke. You just expect people to halt their lives and come running. Take some responsibility and pay back your mistakes. I guarantee if all this has happened to me, its happened before and will continue to happen.

One & half hour wait, with no update from staff. No booking in system so was unaware if staff knew I was waiting or had even arrived. Lady doctor was stressed, rushed and uninformative. Blood pressure was not checked and only asked my height and weight. Whole process was a shambles.

Only done part of the motorsport medical, then unhelpful person in the office who couldn’t even suggest where to go for the ecg part of it. She finished the conversation by saying ‘anything else’ - I would avoid and not one to complain :)

Hi Garry, Thank you for taking the time out to leave us a review, we really appreciate any feedback we can get. As stated on our website, we don't offer the ECG, which is only needed for international licenses, as part of the medical at any of our clinics as we don't have access to the equipment for it.

Took numerous phone calls to get through to you , no answer machine as it was full of previous messages and at the medical had to sit in a room hearing other’s personal details and medication(s) they were taken , very uncomfortable, unpleasant and unprofessional that you have 4 plus people in a tiny room and ask in front of them what medications they are taken … no dignity atall…. Watching someone do the toilet aswell !!! My experience was horrendous … I cried as soon as I left , it was disgraceful we were treated like criminals!!

Hi Suzanne, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we apologise that this was your experience. We had an influx of calls, this has now been resolved. Regarding that waiting room, we try space out all appointments. However, in some instances customers make arrive a little earlier which tends to fill up this area. In light of this, I will arrange for a member of our customer care team to give you a call so this can be discussed further as providing a great customer experience is our top priority.

The building where Getting a Medical was based wasn't a typical doctors/surgery type building, it didn't have a receptionist after 2pm which meant I arrived and didn't know where to go. I wandered around the building to find someone to ask where I go, but it seems all the occupied rooms had meetings (full of people) going on and I didn't want to disturb them. Eventually, someone came over to me and said "if you're here for a medical, they usually come down for you", so I took a seat. I sat for 30 minutes before I decided something was off, so I called the number for the branch and was told they would come down and get me now. If I hadn't rang, how long would I have waited?? The doctor took my blood and asked me how much I weigh, I said I don't know so he just guessed even though there was a scale in the room?? Very odd. Anyways, not a great experience so 1 STAR FOR YOU

Before seeing the doctor I was with the nurse getting my bloods done. This wasn't in a private room. I was seated at desk with nurse, Infront of a room with 4 other people waiting. Everyone could hear everyone else's private details.i was shocked.doctor was good. But set up was pretty shocking

No introduction when I went in the consulting room. Went to close the door and was asked to leave it open. Then had a comment saying ' oh you like your privacy' Of course I want a medical appt to be confidential.

Very embarrassing process. No privacy what so ever to give bloods in front of other people waiting. The door was open into waiting room when giving urine. You could hear what other private information other people were giving regards their conditions through the door/wall. The place was also up a steep set of stairs - not suitable for people like myself with a physical disability. More medical staff should also be on hand as there was only one person there to take my bloods which took them numerous attempts over an hour and a half to get anything for the test.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It is an extremely busy time for the DVLA but please rest assured that we work hard to send reports off in a timely manner.

Hi Lee, There are instances where the DVLA needs to follow up with the GP, which is why it may seem this way however, there will be further investigations.

Zero stars should be an option. It took 10 days to get my paperwork from DVLA to getting a medical and I had to phone DVLA to ask them to re-send the papers ( 2 calls @ 20 minutes ). I had difficulty making myself understood on 1 occasion and was twice cut off after holding for 15-20 minutes. Why can't I deal direct with the local medical centre. I was unable to attend due to covid and then had to re-book through getting a medical. Terrible.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to write in, unfortunately, the process of DVLA sending paperwork is out of our control, we just carry out the medical on behalf of them. The medical centres are managed by us and all bookings have to go through our system we try to make this process as efficient as possible.
