About Getting A Medical:

Getting A Medical is a national medical service provider that specialises in driver medicals. Our aim is to offer low cost medicals across all ranges of commercial and non-commercial drivers such as Heavy/Large Goods Vehicles (HGV, LGV), Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV), Taxi, Ambulance and the Motor Sport Association (MSA). We have a large spread of locations based around England and Wales and all our locations have facilities for a HGV, LGV, PCV, minibus or trailer driver to attend for their Group 2 medical.

“Was a beautiful environment, Dr mirali was fantastic, put me at ease, and answered all my questions with patience, staff were lovely, offering drinks ect, all in all, I went from being very nervous, to completely at ease. Everything was done in a professional non judgemental manner. 5* review from me. Especially to the doctor.”

“From reception to seeing the doctor I found them friendly & helpful . Professional & nice . I’d recommend anyone to go tbh . Carlisle people are a friendly bunch & my experience was a very good one 👍”

“Waited over an hour in the waiting during my lunch break. Blood test results were perfect. The doctor taking the examination marked my questionnaire wrongly and ticked the wrong box for one of the questions. Now my license is revoked and I am now currently in the process of gathering evidence from my own doctor to certify that this is infact an error and to plead my case to return my license. Goes without saying that this is a massive stress for me and my family as everything is now 'up in the air'. Shocking, disgraceful and unfair.”

“The appointment was easy to set up. The doctor was on time and efficient. However the location was not staffed and there was no reception or means of letting the doctor know i had arrived. The location was a bit out of the way.”

“The doctor was lovely and couldn't have tried harder to put me at ease. The 5 stars is for her. However you should know that asking for blood from some patients is an issue especially in my case. There has got to be a better way of getting results from people ie- swabs!!!”

“Getting a date for the medical proved harder than expected, owing to the festive season and the fact that DVLA initially communicated with you by land mail rather than e-mail. Once I had asked them to expidite things, all was good. Dr Jutley was excellent and very professional. He explained things and was friendly and helpful, putting me at ease.”
