“I’ve only used Denman brushes for 30+ years and as of recently I’ve been very disappointed the blow dry brushes have been melting. I found out lately that you can’t sell rubber in America”

Hi Johna, Thanks for sharing your review, we're really sorry that you melted your brushes with your hairdryer but I'm pleased that we were able to organise replacements and a refund quickly. Our brushes are designed to work with high heat and perform brilliantly up to 392 degrees Fahrenheit. If extreme heat is being used beyond this point it will cause the pad to break down. We understand that sometimes stylists need to use extreme heat and we're working on a new brush pad which is better suited to their needs. “The shipping was very good however the product was a cheap piece of plastic that did not even penetrate my hair much less detangle it. I was extremely disappointed but was physically ill and could not return it.”

“This brush makes my hair so flyaway! Apart from testing it out when it arrived, I've not actually used it again as my whole hairstyle was so incredibly flyaway. Sadly I wouldnt recommend at all and was a total waste of money for me.”

“Aloha, I never received my new Denman hair brush. I wrote explaining this prior and I was told to wait and ask a neighbour! I did both and no one has seen my new Denman hair brush. Can you please explain what will happen next, so I can receive what I paid for? Please advise, Thank you, Jill”

“While I am appreciative of customer service reaching out after my purchase to see how things were working, and actually responding (albeit quite generically), overall it's very frustrating to not have an satisfaction guarantee on products this expensive. You can only get a refund if you don't use the brush which makes sense for hygiene, but it penalizes you for giving it a try. So now I'm stuck with a $25 brush and a $35 brush that I hate, when my drug store $2 comb and $4 brush work better. There is no guidance at all on the website for how to choose the right products, you shouldn't have to contact customer service for everything”

On our website we have divided our brushes into sections for different hair types and uses to help customers decide which brush may be suitable for them. “I am very unhappy with my brush. I bought it specifically because people said it was the best for curls. My daughter has beautiful curly hair and this brush wouldn’t even brush her hair. Made it a tangled mess and destroyed her curls completely”

There are different methods using our D3 to define curls, finding the one which suits you can take some time. Using a good detangler like our D90L before styling will also help with any breakages. “I was super excited and optimistic to buy the denman brush. I bought 3. I have blonde , mid back length hair all one length natural curl. All of the brushes were painful to use and I couldn’t get any of them to brush through my hair and forget about actually curling it. So very much disappointed ☹️”

“I’ve purchased many brushes trying to find the perfect one for my daughter’s curls and this is by far the worse of all. Handle is super uncomfortable, the bristles are terrible made of hard plastic that does nothing for curls. I couldn’t even brush my straight hair with it. I own a $5 brush that is way better than this garbage.”
