About Bell Group:

Whilst we are considered a market leader, our Group remains a family owned and operated company; George Bell, our Chairman and Founder, set up his own commercial painting and decorating company in April 1984 – Collins and Bell Ltd – operating throughout the central belt of Scotland. Since that time the Group has grown through acquisitions as well as organically; this has resulted in developing a strong network of services, which have been designed to integrate on a national, regional and local basis. Our key strength as a business is our team which we have developed over the years; this is partly thanks to the comprehensive training programme put in place for all employees and our commitment to respecting individuals.

“We have just recently had the exterior of three buildings painted in some of the wet and windiest lake district conditions by a team of guys from Bell. The guys were polite, courteous, professional and always willing to go the extra mile. They worked hard and left the place spotless when they were finished, I have since recommended them to our regional manager for our other sites around the UK Thanks for what you have done guys, the place looks great”

“After waiting for a large and local competitor floorer to attend for 9 months to no avail I called Bell who attended immediately, quoted and booked in the work. Derek the BDM has been professional and efficient throughout the process and his team, Archie and the boys themselves have been outstanding. Great quality of work and great value! Job Well Done. “We have used "Paint My Home" on three occasions which speaks for itself. The consultation visit by Ian Stewart was extremely useful in clarifying issues and offering advice. We found this very reassuring. The standard of work was excellent and carried out in a professional but friendly manner in the least obtrusive way possible. A follow up visit with Ian was arranged to ascertain that we were completely satisfied before the work was signed off. We have no qualms in recommending "Paint My Home" and will certainly continue to use their service in the future.”

“Bell group were asked to refresh the exterior of some of our admin buildings. They provided a very cooperative quote, then worked with us on the programme of works to deliver a very good end product. The team on site were very professional whilst working in a very public location. The health and safety documentation supporting the job was very comprehensive Overall a very professional job from all in the team”

“After years of stress working for myself I started with bell group as plasterer, have been stress free ever since ,they looked after me well in a time of need ,everything is well organised and management go out there way for you and don't overwork you, give you everything you need, and if there is any issues you just have to raise them ,any negative reviews from employees are from lazy entitled employees who make excuses to do any work at all ,I have been well looked after and have a great work life balance and don't have to worry about anything now ,as this is an honest review I do have to say that we haven't had a payrise through the whole cost of living and don't get bonus if you work harder than others or at Xmas ,but wages are okay but prices are going up now ,coming to bell has changed my life for the better so a big thank you”

“Painters laughing at a man with a mental health illness, and when asked to move because of this. They became abusive and follow me almost to my door continuously being aggressive!! When asked for a rep, all 3 came to my door as if to intimidate me…”

“Merry xmas ! Why do the office staff all get a party and the painters who do the graft all year don't get a invite, or there own party, a Xmas bonus or anything 🤔 it's made out to be very much us and them and we have to do courses how to deal with people! Although we are the ones dealing with the customers front line and get great reviews for our work ! Very scrooge if you ask me .”

“Worst experience. I think because they have only small team in Scotland, there is only one person (sale) I can get information from. But this guy is so unreliable and he acted like a lier. He kept being disappeared. He said he could do the work on time and talk about the price, then I couldn’t reach him anymore. So I contacted their office many times, but nothing they could do other than pass my messages to the guy. And then, the worst part, he emailed me with terrible attitude and accused me being unreasonable, he pretended we didn’t talk about anything so it's not his position to follow up my case, and he implied that he has plenty job to do, he doesn’t need to take my job. Such terrible experience with this company. I’m very glad I didn’t hire them for the job. It will turn to a nightmare with this kinda customer service.”

“I have just completed a walk round with the painting team Foreman from the Cumbria depot. Quality of the work is excellent, and the attention to detail is brilliant, all the filling has been done to a very high standard, and the finish is superb, they must have some futuristic cutting in brushes because we usually have to go round after our previous contract painters and clean up light switches etc. The team have not only been very professional, but they have cleaned up after themselves, I honestly don’t think I’ve been asked for bin bags and vacuum cleaners by contract painters before. Very pleased with the work carried out. This is our first time using Bell Group, and we will definitely be using them again in the future. Not just because of their very competitive prices but the professionalism at all levels.”
