About Bell Group:

Whilst we are considered a market leader, our Group remains a family owned and operated company; George Bell, our Chairman and Founder, set up his own commercial painting and decorating company in April 1984 – Collins and Bell Ltd – operating throughout the central belt of Scotland. Since that time the Group has grown through acquisitions as well as organically; this has resulted in developing a strong network of services, which have been designed to integrate on a national, regional and local basis. Our key strength as a business is our team which we have developed over the years; this is partly thanks to the comprehensive training programme put in place for all employees and our commitment to respecting individuals.

“We have just had our shower refurbished by you . I cannot speak highly enough about Kevin and his whole team who were brilliant . Each person was professional and very skilled in their individual trades. They were friendly,trustworthy and clean , tidying up and never left any rubbish . We are so grateful. Thankyou .”

“I’m really happy with the work done by the team at Bell Group. Everyone I came across was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Antony did a fantastic job on my bathroom. He was very respectful, always on time, answered all my questions and took great care with his work. The finished bathroom looks amazing and I’m really happy with the outcome. Dave, the supervisor, would regularly come by to check on Antony’s work and make sure everything was being done properly and to a high standard. It was reassuring to see that the work was being checked throughout and that they genuinely cared about getting everything perfect. Overall, I found the whole team professional, respectful and approachable, while still being really friendly. I’m very happy with my new bathroom and would definitely recommend Bell Group and their team. Thank you for all your hard work! 😊”

“I just wanted to pass on my thanks to Darren who attended my property to complete some snagging work through Ashberry (Bellway) on the Bourne Springs estate. As a woman on my own in my house, it can feel daunting having a man come into your space alone. Darren instantly made me feel at ease, he was kind, caring and let me know where he was going at all points. He was so loving towards my dog and made me feel completely safe. Not only did he complete the work required, he also purposefully put a chair back next to the window for Lola (my dog) to sit on after he had finished, as I had previously mentioned that she loves people watching from that chair! Please pass on my sincerest thanks to him. He is genuinely a credit to your company. Also, the snag fixings were to an excellent quality!”

“Kingdom housing gave you work you sub contract out to another contractor . The work carried out was terrible . Points 1 new bath not filled with water after fitted .2 new toilet fitted leaking at back fitted to old pipe . 3 new sink fitted loose not fitted 4 wet wall panels not finished off a mess. 5 wet wall panels on bath on wrong way. 6 workman came out and ask what was wrong with strip between bathroom floor and hallway . Did not no it was a strip from laminate floor to lino . When i should have been lino to lino . Some workman not got a clue. 7 left gap in skirting next to bath. 8 no dust sheets down lino in hall all scratched. 9 When came home tools all over hallway and living room . 10 Left all rubbish outside flats overnight. 11 Bath not sealed correct around bath and not sealed behind taps. Not sealed at shower screen. 12 Your boss came out said one thing in house but when i phone office he said something else he did not say that. A lie. 13 Had two jobs done be bells bathroom and old windows painted and stuck shut with the paint . Both Jobs a disaster . 14 would not recommand bells to anybody you seem to think you done a great job with bathrooms . Nobody happy in flats everybody had problems which kingdom housing have had to sort your mess out.”

“Your operatives are truly highly skilled and professional we are so impressed particularly by the carpenters excellent work man ship and so polite so unlike the service you get from the council Mears personally i would sack the lot of them so different from the service provided by the Bell Group”

“Lots of faults and poor workmanship. Bathroom was left unfinished deep chip in the bath,silicone round the bath poorly done thick silicone round the drain plug box round the toilet is very poorly finished,plaster work hasn't even been done. Not even a 3 out 10”

“Overdue Payments Would someone from Bell's head office have the decency to contact me, I have been chasing 3 overdue payments for a week now and no one apart from the regional managers communicate with me, they cant give me any answers and have told me If you wish to discuss the matter directly with Head Office, their telephone number is 01236 766878 – they may be able to advise you better than myself. No one answers. If I do not get a response today I will have no other option than to forward the debt onto a debt collectors which will incur additional fees.”

“This company is terriable. Get fobbed off weeke after week. Have to chase ups constantly!! Since january 2026 still waiting for stuff, getting ignored week after week. Fed up how long its dragging on.”

“Absolute total and unmitigated incompetence for over 2 years. Over 70% of my scheduled repairs with them through my housing organization have been no call no show. Unbelievable how they are still in business when they are incapable of running a repair company. Workers have turned up without the necessary equipment needed to do the job, others arrived with to do work that wasn't even broken as the office gave them the wrong information. 3 appointment for one repair were missed back to back. It took them 1.5 years over 6 visits to fix a door that their workers broke by not hanging properly! An absolute complete and utter joke of a company not fit for putpose!”

“Bell group attended my Grandad's Plymouth Community Homes property this week to paint the exterior of the houses on the street. My grandad said the painters who came were friendly and polite, but also did a really thorough and well done job of painting. My grandad felt they couldn't have done more for him. Just wanted to share the feedback on his behalf as he was really pleased with the job. Thank you!”
