AVOID. DIRTY TAXIS, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We paid £100 for a taxi from Gatwick. An old dirty Prius turned up which smelt like stale smoke and had a packet of cigarettes left in the back seat. The car seat we asked for was old, in poor condition and smelt mouldy. It was also so poorly fitted that we declined to use it. After a month of emailing and calling to raise a complaint and request a refund (their complaint handling policy is to tell you to call back another time when another manager will handle the complaint) someone finally read my complaint and proceeded to make excuses and tell me if I wasnt happy with the car I should have refused the journey and then they would have refunded me (doubtful). Also not easy to organise an alternative taxi + car seat at 1am!

Taxi was so small despite booking one for 5 people. The driver had a child seat which my wife had to travel for an hour with on her lap. Seats had to be moved so far forward because of luggage that my children couldn’t put on their seatbelts. Complained without response

Do not use this company!! - booked a black Mercedes Vito 8 seater for a corporate event. Got confirmation this was the vehicle would get by email and then the WORST large taxi I have ever been in turned up. Filthy and old - even the windows didn’t work. One window had a snotty tissue stuck in it. NEVER been in a worse taxi ….. ever! Avoid!

Do not use this company. Our driver was virtually asleep and nearly killed us as a result. They have yet to respond to my complaint about safety and driver welfare.

Would not recommend this company!! The most important thing you require from an airport taxi after a long day of travelling is reliability and they are not. We pre booked an 8 seater mini bus and paid EXTRA for meet and greet as didn’t want the hassle of searching for a taxi big enough for 5 of us and lots of bags and a baby of 4 months and we did not get this, we had to wait nearly 40 mins in the cold at 1 am, when I called they kept telling me it’s 4-5 mins away but never was, it did eventually arrive and the vehicle didn’t look fit for the road. Needless to say I haven’t received a refund for the extra meet or greet yet after I did ask for at least that back!! Daniel JACK

Our booking to London was cancelled the day before, even though the booking was confirmed and paid for two weeks earlier. We even phoned the week before to make sure there would be no issues. This is disgraceful behaviour from a company that does not honour their contracts with their customers. This has ruined a trip that has been planned for some time and left no time to cancel tickets and hotel. Looking at reviews from other customers, this seems be be a regular occurrence. No stars DO NOT USE

I booked a meet-and-greet pick-up from Heathrow from my laptop. I waited for a confirmation email, which arrived and then shut my computer and happily went about my day knowing that my pick-up was arranged. I then also received a text message confirmation of the booking which was extra reassuring. I arrived at the arranged pick-up about 5 minutes before planned and waited, after there was no sigh of the driver after 20 minutes waiting, I called the number on the confirmation email and it rang and went to voicemail - so I left a message. I then found a landline number and called that and the controller took my details and then said he would call the driver. After a few minutes he came back and said that he had spoken to the driver and that traffic was heavy around Heathrow, and he would be there in 15 minutes. So I waited, for 15 minutes, then 35 minutes. Still no sign of the driver. I called the taxi company again who told me that the taxi had been cancelled 4 hours earlier and that they had sent an email (fantastically helpful for those flying I'm sure). They hadn't bothered to send a cancellation text to follow the confirmation text which would actually have been helpful. I asked the controller why I had been lied to on my first call and told that the driver was on his way and to continue waiting and he was really dismissive like it was my fault. This is without a doubt the worst airport taxi experience I have had in 25 years of travelling. '1st Airport Taxis'?; 'Worst Airport Taxis' in my opinion.

I’d give them no stars. On Monday 20th June I booked and paid for an 8 seater minibus to take 6 people to the airport on 23rd June. On 22nd June at 5pm in the evening they emailed me to say “ Just to let you know that we do not have any driver available tomorrow due to the train strike, so we won't be able to provide you with the service. We have cancelled this booking and refunded your money back. Please make alternative arrangements for your travel.“ Needless to say that at 5pm on the day before a train strike I had no success in booking an alternative taxi. There’s also no sign of my refund yet either. They took my money and confirmed the hire…. Then went back on their promise at the last minute. Absolute rubbish behaviour.

Booked meet and greet plus taxi. But it was done v badly with no placard / name board and very bad communication. Driver rude to my elderly mother, refused to turn on AC on a hot day (well after COVId). Refused to switch off music in car as it was Azan. Overall poor customer service.

I was picked up from T5 on the 1st of June by a driver hardly spook any english. We were about to have an accident 3 times on the M25 and the M1. We were very happy to get our of the car. I called the office 3 times to talk to the manager but no answer back. Please make sure who is taking you home or away it was not safe, and no customer service at all.

We travelled from Gatwick to Southampton airport. We paid Ann extra £12 for Meet and Greet but we had to call the driver to let him know we were there and then wait 10 minutes. We could have put up with this, but we emailed info@ that evening again to ask fir the &12 refund and got no response.

Absolutely disgusting service. Had a taxi booked for 2 months, confirmed and paid for. 1 week before the we are due to go, they have cancelled all 4 of my taxis. Rang up to discuss the issue, was rudely spoken to and then had the phone put down on me.

The free baby seat is a cheat. Better to pay for one than delight in a seat which is more dangerous than not having one. My driver arrived (to the wrong place, which at midnight with a baby makes a difference) with a seat circa 1980. It had no ISOFIX which is the international standard now. It was just a flimsy chair just barely held with a seatbelt. The smallest jolt and the chair will go flying. But what options does one have in the middle of the night at an airport?

Contrary to other reviews we had a very bad service experience .The car was filthy dirty you could not see out of some windows even the driver had problems with visibility. We paid extra for a business class car and the driver could not even fit two suitcases in the boot my wife had to sit on back seat with a suitcase and i had to sit in front with driver .This was not a business class car .The driver and car Heavily smelled of Curry which is not what you would expect from a company claiming to provide Business Class Cars .

Booked an airport transfer with child seat from Gatwick back to Bracknell. Choose to include the meet and greet + MPV as I would be travelling with an infant and luggage. Ahead of flight, a few emails to confirm details and when I landed, a text from the driver to tell him when we would arrive. I replied to say we were through Security and would be out soon. No reply. Get to arrivals with a screaming baby with a cold, walk up and down - no driver. Call driver and he claims they didn’t tell him it was meet and Greet. He wasn’t there. Asked me to walk through the arrivals and out through the car park and through the airport to drop off point with baby and all luggage. Get to the drop off, walking up and down and he isn’t there. Turns up 10 mins later. At this point my baby is screaming and coughing. Email company to explain situation and say how disappointed I am. Recieved long rambling reply and offer to give me the £8 meet and greet back. Considering this whole transfer was 2x a normal taxi rate yet, (£152!) pretty disgraceful. Very poor experience and clear the company don’t really value their customers.

With the Heathrow Hoppa bus only leaving the airport once an hour to go to our hotel, we decided to book in advance the meet and greet/airport transfer service provided by First Airport Taxis. Our flight was due to arrive at 6:20am. It was delayed by 15 minutes and so we fully expected our driver to be waiting for us in the arrivals hall. He was not. It took 3 phone calls to their head office and 2 responses from the driver before he turned up after we had been waiting for over 40 minutes. This is not the service for which we had paid £39. They have since reimbursed me the £8 meet and greet fee but that is not the point. If they cannot be relied upon to be there on time I will not use them again nor recommend them to any of my friends.

I made a booking on the website. I updated the time the day before to an earlier one and I got a confirmation of updated time (see attached picture). However, on the day the driver failed to show on time. When I called they said the booking was for later. When I pointed out the updated time and confirmation from the website the man just said “well, do you want to cancel then?” Standing outside waiting for a taxi with a baby to catching a plane, a little bit better customer treatment would have been appreciated. I would under all circumstances avoid using this company.

I paid the premium amount (double what I would expect to pay) for an "executive" car that I assumed would be a premium service. I asked for 2 children's seats which clearly indicate a family arriving. The driver was late for the meet and greet despite being told by text that we were nearly finished with immigration. The driver was scruffy in sandals (not the most important I know but "premium service"). The "executive" car was a very small Mercedes. 2 dirty children's seats were in the back leaving no space for anyone else. Having confirmed there would be proper Covid measures we were expected to be cramped in the back and one up front. Except there was then no room for any luggage. After a very long flight, tired and exhausted, I then had little energy to argue with the operator at base who was unapologetic and claimed no responsibility. He claimed I should have known what I was getting. Trapped, I had to agree to get a 2nd car which I had to pay cash for. In total, I paid £120 for a horrible service (the drivers were pleasant - I do not wish to criticise them, only the company).

Hello, We hope you are doing well. We are really sorry that we could not meet your expectations but we need to clarify that you have booked this service online by yourself and you chose a saloon car which was clearly not big enough to accommodate 2 adults, 2 children with baby seats and lots of luggage. In our opinion, you should have booked a MPV car and this is what the operator tried to explain to you over the phone. I hope this will help to explain the situation. Kind regards
