“Mint was a fine experience. The items are overpriced even compared to the US mint though. One item I ordered from the Tudors beasts collection came in what looked to be some cheap recycled plastic. The previous pieces had nice clean clear plastic. I was a bit disappointed in that.”

“The process of funding my account has never been smooth and quick so far. For some reason, their system rejects my card each time, though it accepts payments from this type of card according to the Royal Mint, and there's always enough funds in my account.
Secondly, once I've opted for a bank transfer, this takes a lot longer than with any other provider, be it my ISAs, bank to bank transfer etc. As a result, I'd need to keep some money in my account at all times at no interest, if I wanted to catch any dips in the price of any commodities. Otherwise by the time the trasnfer has been finally processed, the price has changed. I've still done this twice so far and just waited until the price dipped in order to capture the best price. But the process is less than perfect in my experience.”

“I have for days now tried to order the Platinum Jubilee 5 quid commemorative coin. When I finally get to the payment details, they kick back the order claiming that the billing address does not match the state code. I've done everything I could but with negative results. I live in the States and have ordered numerous items from the Dickens House, HRP, National Gallery and Foyles. It was so simple -- just give them my order, delivery info and credit card number. Done! But not with the Royal Mint. I've emailed them but have heard nothing yet. Any suggestions.”
