“The nutritional supplements arrived and the moment I opened the bag the smell was pretty funky. Put them in a zip lock bag but they stunk up the kitchen so put them in a sealed Tupperware box. At this point I was not taking the supplements as they smelled so bad and I had to throw out the whole box. It’s a shame as I enjoy the other products for smoothies but this was a waste of money.”

This places the product in an expensive price bracket for me and I am now likely to research alternatives to see if cheaper products exist in the market.”

“I really like Puriton and it has helped me get to a healthy BMI but I’ve been without it now for 2 weeks: once due to DPD not delivering which Puriton addressed quickly and dispatched a new triple pack via Royal Mail. Unfortunately Royal Mail refuse to deliver sensibly (e.g leaving in a safe place) and I have now missed the parcel twice because I work full time and it’s going to a post office somewhere which I will have to wait until next weekend to get to. I find Puriton really useful to have at work but haven’t been able to for a whole week which is frustrating. EVRI are the best delivery drivers here - I would like to be able to choose them.”
“The flavoured shakes have far too much stevia in them which is unpalatable. The coconut bars are inedible - like small bricks of concrete dust - they went straight in the food donation box. The unflavoured shake is okay - I’m just trying to work out what to put with it to make it taste nice. I like the idea - I’m just trying to make it work. I wonder if it would be easier to create my own shake with protein powder…”

“I ordered a variety of vegan flavours and few of the classic; although I don’t mind the grainy texture of the shakes, nor I doubt the quality of the ingredients and their healthy benefits, I’m sorry to say that the taste itself is not great. I tried banana, almond and orange, raspberry and they all have a very subtle hint of the flavour, but mostly they taste quite similar to each other. Please, don’t take it as a criticism, I understand that’s all natural with no artificial flavouring, and maybe my personal palate needs to get use to this.”

Because it is mainly made of chopped and ground nuts and seeds and without any additives or artificial ingredients to make it dissolve in liquid, Purition has a slightly crunchy texture.
Blending it for a good 30-40 seconds with your favourite milk/nut milk results in a creamy drink, but you can blend it a little bit longer to get the results you like.

“I like the natural flavours. I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t make me feel full or even had a replacement meal like other meal replacements do.
It doesn’t mix very well and leaves a sediment, so you need a spoon to scoop what’s left at the bottom of the cup out. Purition advise putting berries in the mix or bananas, I feel I need to other wise I’m left wanting afterwards.
I’m looking forward to finishing my bags so I can get back to my Huel, which in my opinion is far better in many ways.”

“Some of the flavours are not great. I couldn't taste the orange in the almond and orange, the almond flavour drowns it out. Also the vegan Chai Latte tastes strongly of cinnamon, when I expected a mixture of spices. Cherry Bakewell is OK, but again the almond flavour is a little overwhelming. The coffee and walnut gets the balance just right. Wondering if the vegan flavours are not as good as the others?”

Taste is so personal and we all have different preferences, however, we hope to think that you do enjoy some of the flavours enough, as you have been such a loyal customer to Purition over the past year - For which we would like to thank you very much!
Our Vegan flavours do taste slightly different to the Orignal range, but not in terms of the flavours themselves, as those are all the same in both ranges. Rather, it has to do with the protein we use:
In our Original range, we use triple filtered whey protein isolate, which by nature provides a smooth mouthfeel.
In comparison, in our vegan range, we use our Vegan Proprietary Vegan Protein Blend, which is made up of a mix of European Pea, Pumpkin, Sunflower & Hemp proteins. Due to these ingredients, the Vegan range has a more earthy, slightly grainy texture.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it and are sorry that although you like Purition, you find them too sweet.
Purition is naturally very low in sugar it only contains 1-2g per serving and we only use a very small amount of the natural sweetener Stevia (30g per 70kg batch) to only balance the flavours out and not to make it too sweet.
Of course, we know that taste is so very personal and that for some, even this small amount can be a little too sweet.
Sometimes the choice of milk/milk alternative can have a great effect on the overall sweetness of Purition as well, so it could be a good option to try using a less sweet milk, like unsweetened coconut milk for example.
We also wanted to consider those who wish to go for a completely unsweetened option, so we have created the below unsweetened recipes available, these do not contain any Stevia:
Turmeric/ Curcumin and Black Pepper (Original and Vegan 40g & 500g) &
Naked Blend (Original 500g only) -you can find it listed as ‘Unflavoured’
Our Plain Protein Powders are also all unsweetened and completely unflavoured as well, with a natural and neutral taste profile.

“I love the mixes so was excited to try your Keto bars. I really wanted to like them.
Sadly I didn't. Both the chocolate and berry flavours taste like candle wax mixed with chopped nuts.
I eat them on a day when I was very hungry having missed lunch. So I had two to replace lunch and dinner. Very filling but I won't be buying any more. Will use the remainder, including as yet untried coconut one, but only because they're in the cupboard. I haven't tried any other make of Keto bars, doubt I will now. I prefer to stick with the mixes which I blend with berries and Greek yogurt for the super-est of breakfast.

It's true, KetoTHIS meal bars are not at all sweet - They have a subtle whole food flavour and a crumbly texture from the nuts and seeds.
We wanted to provide a low sugar/low carbohydrate whole-meal bar option for those who wish to keep their low carb diet in check even when they are on the go.
Later on this year, we are also looking to introduce a slightly (naturally) sweetened snack bar option as well - so watch this space! 😊
