I'm a fitter with many yearsx expertise. I gave a good review previously but was unable to edit. I ordered twice from this company but had nothing but problems. Flooring companies will do anything to get out of refunding you if there is ever a problem. They will ALWAYS blame it on installation, or "moisture" or some excuse. So, I aways check the instructions and the warranty as was the case with this company. I ordered chevron flooring from them that came with the wrong instructions (herringbone). After asking for the correct instructions and warranty, , what should have been a simple matter turned into an absolute and utter farce. If you look at the chevron flooring on their website, it is the same flooring under 2 different company brands (Timba & Holt) and is made by Barlinek in Poland. They didn't have any information on the product warranty or installation and ending up sending redacted emails for days and sent useless videos. Basically, the flooring had no warranty and I asked for a refund. I paid Woodflooring direct and the contract was with them when I asked for a refund, they insist on a 25% restocking charge (illegal) and was told this "You will get a full refund minus the collection charge, once Timba Floor has received the flooring back and checked the flooring they will issue us a credit note so then I can refund you minus the collection charge". Er...I paid Wood Flooring Supplies, but they are expecting me to wait for a refund after a company I have never dealt with issues them a credit note? Long story short, this company are "men in the middle" who take your money and if anything goes wrong, they will not refund you directly, but hold you to ransom based on what their supplier says..

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. You gave us a 5 star review on 28th July and now suddenly change it to a 1 star view which is very unfair. On your original 5 star review you said - " My emails were answered promptly by Kerry ( on a Sunday ) and she kept me updated on the delivery. Everything went like clockwork and with no fuss whatsoever. Completely agree with the other reviewers, genuinely great service. " You placed another order on our website and your flooring was delivered again with no issues, we kept you informed throughout the process. Once your Timba flooring was delivered, you then asked the question " Can the engineered chevron flooring be glued directly over chipboard? " and also said if you don't get an answer back in a few days I will be returning the flooring. We emailed our supplier straight away who then asked the manufacturer for clarification. Barlinek the manufacturer, emailed back confirmation to say is was okay to glue directly to the chipboard we then emailed you straightaway to confirm the flooring was suitable to be laid on chipboard. You fitted the flooring but never confirmed to us you still wanted to keep the flooring. We emailed you twice and you never responded to our emails. The instructions that we emailed you when you first placed the order was mistakenly for Engineered Herringbone and not Engineered Chevron which was emailed to us incorrectly by Timba Flooring this was just a simple mistake. The reason why we did not have detailed Chevron Instructions on our website is due to the manufacturer not having detailed instructions, you do get instruction in every pack of flooring, but not as detailed as you would have liked. Why are you saying the flooring had no warranty, this flooring does come with complete with a warranty! We always send a technical data sheet along with fitting instructions prior to delivery along with keeping you updated on your delivery which we did on every occasion. We also responded very quickly to all your emails and your complaint was dealt with very promptly. Kerry and I have found your responses you have emailed us back to be very rude and unprofessional. Our restocking charges that apply are clearly stated in bold in our " terms and conditions " which you must read and tick before placing an order online. It also clearly states this in our returns policy which clearly you have not read before placing your orders. Any potential customers reading this review, please just read all our other reviews and you will see hundreds of very satisfied customers. We are a family run business who have been trading online now for 13 years and thrive on our customer service and will continue to do so.
