“Y6 - The teacher really enjoyed the workshop with his class. It held their attention, was interactive and angaged children of all abilities. Also told an interesting story. Y4 - Very calm, and patient with the class. Asked if there were an SN in the class and made sure to speak to and check in with each group. The facilitator created a welcoming and engaging atmosphere. Great feedback from all other years of the children really enjoying the workshop”

“The children loved the stories and more session. It was very interactive! Lucy was great with the children, energetic, enthusiastic and positive. The children loved learning a new story and watching the older children perform. Our feedback would be possibly timings? The session seemed very rushed, the children had to learn a lot in a 25 minute session. Then the assembly ran over so we very late going to classes which them caused an issue with getting them into the classroom safely. I could not fault the teaching. The teacher was clear with her instruction and in the way she modelled each step. All children were focused. I thought that the group work was smoothly blended into the dance and it encouraged less confident children to participate. This was also something that the children really enjoyed. I thought the teaching was exciting, positive and enthusiastic and the children in my class seemed to really enjoy story telling through dance.”

“Our workshop leader, Kieran, was excellent and managed behaviour whilst remaining energised and inspiring to the children. All children were engaged and joined in. Any children who were on the margins were gently supported to be included. The sense of the story was communicated and maintained and the children were involved in a number of different drama activities. There was a lot packed in to the workshop! Thanks”

“Colin was brilliant! He was full of energy, instantly engaging, worked so hard to interest the children and prepared them brilliantly for their end of the day show. Staff were blown away with how much the children had achieved in their workshops. This was highly inclusive and a real pleasure to see so many children who usually lack confidence or who face challenges in their learning embracing the fun!”

“What a fantastic way to celebrate World Book Day and the National Year of Reading. The workshop was pitched really well to all age groups allowing all children to succeed. The final performance was a lovely celebration of what they had all learnt and a lovely way to retell the story of Pinocchio. James, our dance workshop instructor, was great with the children and was able to teach each year group their portion of the story in an engaging and fun way.”

“For our World Book Day celebrations, we had workshops based on Jack and the Beanstalk for pupils from Reception to Year 6. The workshops were well run and enjoyed by pupils of all ages. The booking process was wasy and communication was brilliant all the way through.”

“What a super day of storytelling, drama and dance! The children of Lympstone Primary School, Exmouth, absolutely loved retelling the story of Pinocchio today. Each class enjoyed acting with Michelle and then performing to the rest of the school. She was encouraging and enthusiastic with all the different age groups and the children loved her energy! Everything from West End Schools was well organised and the day ran smoothly and as planned. The day was a perfect way to celebrate World Book Day 2026! Thank you.”

“We love having the West End in Schools come to visit us. This was our fourth year running and we rebook because our children love the experience. Having trained actors gives the children that they can't get from their class teachers and the dramatisation is very well-led. Victoria, our leader, was superb. She was patient with our children with SEND and made the session really enjoyable for our littlest up to our eldest, who loved being silly and performing. Thank you.”
