“The worst Scotch pies I have ever eaten - terrible pastry and no flavour in the filling. The rest of my order was excellent, Good quality produce, well packed and on time.”

“Ordered a whole roe deer. Was well-butchered according to my request. They called before butchering to ask how I wanted it. Absolutely delicious meat. Also ordered two steak pies. Not had them yet but was disappointed to see that they used margarine in the pastry. Should use butter. Hence deduction of one star. Apart from that, recommended. I will use them again.”

“Order delivered on 20th December as you said . Turkey with Stornaway black pudding was very good we used it Christmas and Boxing Day personally I preferred the Rib Eye steak it was excellent. The chicken meatballs and Jamaican spiced beef ham would have preferred more spice , haven’t ate any of rest yet”

“Have ordered before but I'm not so happy this time - the minimum order value has increased significantly - from £25 to £75. The 'scotch' pies had a puff pastry top (and not scotch pies) and the square sausage was not as good as remembered - a bit disappointing. On another note - they could offer to sell a plain loaf as well as part of the offer.”

“My order arrived on time and was well packaged, The meat has so far been very good. The only negative is that after cooking the rolled lamb shoulder did not carve very well, it broke up into small pieces, still very tasty and tender though. Lamb chops very good as was the steak. Will use this firm again.”

“I was impressed with the beef olives, the black pudding however was full of barley or something and difficult to eat which surprised me being that it was Stornoway black pudding. It took longer than stated to arrive also.”

“Quick service. I bought some excellent venison from you a couple of years ago, hence buying from you again. Three packs were fantastic quality this time but two needed sorting and I lost nearly a pound in weight. That said I would buy from you again.”

“This is my second order and again I was very pleased with the quality and the quick delivery. Everything was well packed. The only thing this time was I found that the filling inside the scotch pie was less than before (maybe my perception) but compared to the last order there seemed to be more pastry and not so much meat content but again very tasty. Also sausage and black pudding slices seemed cut very thin compared to last time but again taste and quality of product is not in doubt.”

“I was not too happy that all the foods were due out on the same day which was just a couple of days after I collected my order so most is in my freezer now, I did try the Pork steaks and didn't think they had much flavour and wouldn't buy them again.”
