Took forever to make or get made on their behalf. They sent out wrong emails and delayed emails of updates and generally bad service.

Extremely poor quality, my sign was damaged and the quality of the complete item is very poor, my 10 year old granddaughter could have done better. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT buy from this company, they have refused a refund and just waffle on about there terms and conditions, Do Not purchase from this company, you have been warned!!!

Our order was submitted and accepted. Later we were advised there would be a two week delay due to a change of premises. Nothing further was heard. Only when we enquired were we advised there would be a further delay. Again nothing was heard. Only when we threatened to cancel the Order did it magically appear. Delivery was to be by DPD. Date and time were advised. Did not arrive nor on the next day. Informed Village Green. New delivery date and time were sent. This time we got our Order.

Hi Stephen We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the quality and the aftersales. After looking into this, we can see that a member of our customer care team was in touch regularly and asked for a full front-facing image of the signs received, which were not provided. From parts of the images that I can see, it looks as though you are referring to the small air dents within the lettering. This is caused by air bubbles within the vacuum-forming process, and is very common. We show these on our website as they are not something that we can eliminate I'm afraid. Briliant website, very disappointed with quality of floral sign, letters had dents and paintwork on letters not sharp when looking close up! I was replacing a sign I had for over 30 years, after a battle returned for a full refund, had to pay postage as the company refused to believe it was faulty but natural marks in the process, I don't think so!

From looking into this, we can see that your sign was not damaged nor faulty, and what you are referring to are small air dents within the lettering which are a natural occurrence during the vacuum forming, and are shown on our website examples. However, as we could see that you really were not satisfied we advised that it could be returned for a full refund, however, this was a gesture of goodwill as it is a personalised product and non faulty, Many thanks Village Green Signs

Hi William, Thank you for your review. As we can appreciate an error was made in regards to the shape of the plaque, a mock up was provided and approved by yourself on the incorrect plaque shape. Since realising this had happened, we have provided an offer of a replacement in the correct plaque shape, or a 50% refund in which the refund was accepted. As this is the case, your refund was processed as you seemed happy with accepting this offer via email. If you have any further queries, do let us know. We do hope your happy with the sign. Your marketing info is unhelpful if you think I’m delighted with my purchase. After an over two month wait for delivery of my sign (with promises made in the interim) it was finally delivered last Thursday only to find the order was incorrect - painted in gold lettering instead of white which I ordered. Collection of incorrect order had to be arranged and presently I am waiting yet again for order, first placed in September to be completed. Back to square one.

Orders take over three months to complete which comes with a defensive couldn't care attitude from their staff. We've bought two signs from them which are pretty basic and shouldn't take anything like three or more months. I will never order from them again.

Hi Rod, I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service provided. This is really sad to hear as we always want to provide the best service possible. In regards to the delivery time, as you had placed an order for a custom hand-made resin house sign, the production time is longer as the sign has to go through many stages of production. Our delivery time of 8 weeks as standard is noted at checkout, along with our unfortunate 2-week delay across the website banner. This is all noted on the website so that our customers are aware of our turnaround time prior to placing an order with us. I can see that on this occasion, your order was sent out within this time frame and I hope that you are happy with the products received :) However, I am deeply saddened to hear that you have had a bad experience with our customer care team and have looked into this but am unable to find any previous correspondence with us. Had to wait from October to early January for the smallest sign with two numbers on An inordinate wait for such a small item, understand it’s handmade but thank goodness I didn’t want one with pictures on

We do advise on our website of the delivery times so that customers are aware of this prior to placing an order with us. Our plaque was finally delivered after 8 weeks, unfortunately with multiple imperfections when it was cast, the colour is bland & flowers are much smaller than on-line example. We sent an email & photos on day of delivery to explain this and received an automated response that said you would try to respond within 48 hours, it’s been over a week so far and we are still waiting . . . How can you state on-line that every item is bespoke & made by artisans when there is obviously no quality control prior to items being sent to customers ? Our plaque at £91.00 is overpriced and resembles something bought ‘off the shelf’ at B&Q or Simpsons for £15.00. Would not recommend !!

Three weeks to deliver a sign. When I asked for an update regarding delivery of my sign, I provided name, address, postcode and the date they took the payment from my bank account. Apparently because my email address had changed, I didn’t pass the security requirements. Quality of the sign is also very very basic. First time and last time I will use this company.

Waited 10 weeks for a sign wanted one identical to one shown on the website only to find the finished product had many faults asked for a refund offered a remake the requested a refund again eventually got one but what a waste of time poor alignment pic not central wording different size lettering and picture off set one side not at all bothered with customers and communication very slow dont waste your time or money !

Very disappointed. Ordered a large 'arch' shaped sign at £160. It took 10 weeks to receive (and I was told the standard was 11 weeks, though this is not what the website says). The painting on the sign is tiny and totally out of proportion to the size of the sign, and I am not the first customer to complain about this. Apparently, the painting size defaults to the very small oval sign, and unless you choose a specific image reference at checkout and make a specific request for the size of the painting, you will receive a big black empty sign with a small painting in the middle! Terrible experience, and apparently all my fault for not understanding the website. Buy with caution.....

We do offer a range of sizes and motif designs and the motif is one standard size. We show different designs on different-sized plaques to allow customers to see the space available. Really disappointed by the sign - the quality of the artwork is beautiful but the proportions are all wrong. The image is too small and there is too much black space but as we were able to ‘preview’ the design, it was impossible to spot. Really regret the purchase, £130 for something that just doesn’t look right.
