“I had signed up to a few sites for tutoring help with my daughters accountancy exams. Tutor hunt was quick, reliable and very easy to use! With a response from a tutor within a few hours and lessons set up all st immediately it what just was we wanted and needed! Higly recommend this service to you others!”

“Struggling to get my profile approved because they are unable to check basic update dbs service! Asking me to get a new DBS (last issued in Dec 2022) despite being on update service they need to see my actual certificate (which I lost accidentally). I don’t understand when the same service is acceptable for schools in the UK why it isn’t for tutor hunt. I have gone through rigorous checks when starting to work as substitute teacher and all cleared. However, I can’t get through their site because it’s their policy to “see” the certificate when same or more update info can be checked online for free. Absolutely ridiculous policy and stuck in 19th century!”

“Have been tutor for more than two years and depsite low rate, offering core subjects and comprehensive profile, I have interest from one student more than a year ago. When I contact them for help, either their is automated message saying no one is availbale to help. The platform allows tutors to contact "students". I have maxed out the number of contacts per cycle on more than six occasions and there was no response from a single human being. This is despite new "students" who show that they created an accoutn just a few hours ago, of which there are in the order of tens per day. Highly suspect there is a bot generating "student" accounts which suspiciously leave written section blank where they are supposed to detail what they're looking for ALL accounts.”

“When I was first trying to find a tutor I came across the Tutor Hunt website. I didn't know anything about the site and could only go by the reviews. I was still skeptical but thought I'd give it a go. I have no regrets, the site made it really easy to find a tutor, really easy to see what other people thought about the tutors and is an excellent go between to communicate and pay for lessons. I would recommend this service to others.”

“I have been using Tutor Hunt for a few years and I have always found it very easy to navigate and find good tutors. The website is very well laid out and gives a good description of each Tutor with attached ratings all designed to help make the choice of finding a suitable Tutor. It also enables you to reach out to the Tutor when searching. The payment process is also quite straightforward and direct to Tutor Hunt who then pass on the payment to the Tutor. I have looked at other sites but the Tutors we have used have always come from Tutor Hunt. Thank you so much!”

“After 12 years of working as a tutor on this website with very good reviews I have to say that whoever runs it does not have the back of good tutors. It allows the customer to leave slanderous malicious reviews which are totally untrue to destroy the professionalism of the tutor. Tutors rely on good feedback to bring them more students. It only takes one bad apple that could ruin what was otherwise an excellent track record . There are people who are just nasty. The worst thing is there is NOTHING the tutor can do about it!!! Initially the slander was removed but when the client complained as to why her slander was removed the company reinstated it!!! Trying to get in touch with Mr John Underhill is also not possible and some of his staff who man the phones pretend to be the owner and manager. Yes indeed Miss Maury or whoever you really are . I wonder what your boss would do if he found out that you pretended to own this company. These people are not worth it. So if you have integrity and respect you would surely not allow slanderous reviews to be put up on your website. It's absolutely disgusting.”

“Tutor hunt used to be a service to connect students to tutors. It used to be for years the student would pay an amount to access the tutors contact details Then suddenly they changed their model. Now they take 25% commission of every lesson booked. You have no option but to book through them. Instead of getting £100 they will now get £1000s per student and per tutor. It's money grabbing greediness and unnecessary. Tutors have no option but to take severe cuts and make prices go up substantially. Terrible for everyone apart from the CEOs laughing at the bank. They do nothing other than gatekeep connecting people for this money.”

“Was easy to find a local tutor compared to other sites. Our chosen tutor, Jacquie, has been really helpful for our son for his Chemistry A level. Her communication is excellent and she is always flexible when agreeing a location and time. Highly recommend her and the site.”
