When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“What an amazing insurer! I've been traveling for over 3 years, two of which have been covered by TT. In my last month, I broke my collarbone and TT made it the easiest claims process in the world - all the payment was taken care of and I was able to rest, with the assurance that everything was dealt with. Super friendly team, brilliant cover and an excellent experience. They're so good I decided to extend my cover for another 6 months!”

“If you are on either a short or longer trip Truetraveller is the way to go for insurance! Personally I like that how easy the applying process is and you can take it any time of the trip. We've had fortunately only minor health issues, but Truetraveller covered them also! I highly recommend Truetraveller insurance for your adventures!”

“Made yesterday my insurance in order to start in a few days my IEC in Canada. As soon as I paid I got my contract in my email ( in PDF format). So far very good service and good rapport quality/price!”

“Earlier this year I was travelling from Nepal to Brazil when my travel insurance I had from back home expired. I was not able to extend it because I was already travelling.. I didn't know what to do, but then a friend of mine told me about True Traveller, so I looked it up and compared to the other insurances True Traveller felt way more trustworthy. They have many different packages depending on how you're travelling, you can really make your insurance fit your perfect needs... I only use True Traveller when travelling now.”

“This is the first time I have used True Traveller for my holiday insurance but I will definitely use them again. The website was easy to navigate and I was able to get exactly the right insurance I wanted for my holiday without any fuss. They categorised the activities and world zones in an easy to read format. I had my insurance for a mountain hike booked within 10 minutes. The price was right too with a good amount of medical and search and rescue cover.”

“My insurance cost was quite a lot but I'd expected that. However, I got quotes from other sites and they were a lot more expensive and almost impossible to find out what they covered in it. I needed 6000m heli evacuation and this was the only one where it specified everything important. Got my brother and 2 friends to go with these guys as well.”

“As one of the few travel insurance companies to offer up to 2 year of cover (necessary for your IEC visa), I found their prices to be fair when compared with other companies offering similar cover. I found the process of getting cover easy and straight forward and finding information regarding individual sections of the cover was readily and easily available. Although the addition of baggage cover came at a steeper cost then anticipated, it is a necessary evil for peace of mind if anything were to happen to our valuables. The travel resumption add on is also a great addition which other insurers seem not to provide. All in all I would definitely recommend True Traveller and I hope that, if needs be (hopefully not), making any claims on the policy will be as simple as setting it up.”

“True Traveller is the only travel insurance company i could find that would offer me better than decent cover, including winter sports, with fair excess, for a full two years AND allow me to travel home for as long as i need to within that time (a lot of other companies only allowed max. 21 days?!). Would highly recommend!”

“I was looking for insurance to cover me for 2 years whilst in Canada. I was already traveling at the time and True Traveller were a great option. I researched and found very positive reviews for their service and I was not disappointed. Their policies are reasonably priced and cover everything I needed. If I need too upgrade my policy to include other activities it is easy to do so, and when I come to extend my cover their process is straight forward. I would recommend True Traveller to anyone who is already outside of their home country and requires insurance.”

“I had to use my insurance two times, one was a skin check, got refunded the tickets and the last one I was pretty unlucky getting dengue fever. I was in a hospital in Malaysia for nearly a week, didn’t need to pay a deposit and they handled really well the situation. Got even refunded all tickets I payed for blood tests I did before being admitted at the same hospital. If you are traveling I think true Traveller is the best option! Forget about problems and enjoy your life!”
