We took out a trader's policy with tradex via a broker (peacock's, who are also turning out to be useless, we will be contacting the FSA regarding them in the morning) the policy is absolutely useless and doesnt constitute what would be described as a trader policy at all. They set a 3 car limit, despite being given proof that we operate a buying, repairing and selling business, making it extremely difficult to trade in already tough times Any attempt to contact them has resulted in nobody being available to address our issue, leaving us no option but to take another policy out with another company. Avoid at all costs, or you may need a small claim court to recover the cost of a miss sold financial service

Unreliable service when trying to add vehicles website is always down. How hard is it to keep a website up and running! Ive made plenty that stay up and through out the term of the policy ive had to ring up to add vehicles. And sat sundays unable to add vehicles. I buy and sell vehicles how do i do my work if i can add or remove vehicles. ? Will be going back to tradewise as never had issues with them !

i made a claim on my written off car which was taken away by them ever since, at first they said ive get the money for it within 2 days and payments are resided, i am still waiting after 6 weeks now and just yesterday, i got informed they sending some one out to interview me, shocking news , not a good insurer and empty promises and not willing to pay out what so ever, instead charging a high premium

tradex customer portal access has been down for my self over 8 weeks cannot log in, every time i ask my broker trade x in working on it been a customer for over 5 years, company going down hill cant wait for renewal date to leave. AVOID

I would avoid this insurance like the plague. I was involved in a non-fault accident where the person who hit me and I are both insured with Tradex. They have done everything in their power to delay payment, and bully me to accepting a below retail value offer. The accident happend in February, their initial valuation was £4k under the agreed valuation of £30k. When I raised a complaint over the valuation, they gave me an interim cheque for £26k and told me it was just an interim payment and would settle in full later. At that point they took the courtesy car back, and I received a final settlement cheque of £100. I have returned the cheque, their tactic is to make you wait and wear you down so you end up accepting a below retail value of the car. They have setup an entire department for this purpose. I've given them several examples of what the car was worth at the time of the accident and they have ignored them all stating they use Glass's guide. Glass's guide does not take into account vehicle rarity which this was. The same guide values R34 GTR's at around £20-25k when in truth you can't buy one for less than £45k. If I could rate them 0 stars I would. They will not pay out in a reasonable time frame, and if they do payout it will be well below what it costs you to replace the vehicle. I've advised several friends and traders not to use them. Please do not make the same mistake I did, it has caused me nothing but anxiety and stress.

I have naver seen bad company like Tradex , poor management, last three months been waiting. My claim is still not sorted. They don't even contect you back . Rood & unprofessional staff.

Competitive price for multi-car policy. Unfortunately after a break-in at our house our car was stolen (and recovered by police). The claims process with Tradex was smooth, staff helpful and quick-turnaround for the fixes to damage on the car at our local main dealer really helped minimise the stress of the whole situation.

Service and flexibility improved markedly over last 6 months or so, minor moan is that we still cannot see what is listed on the MID via the website. New business and renewal rates seem fair at the moment. A pre renewal phone call from u/w 3/4 days prior to renewal to try & help secure always a good idea or just give us 5% flexibility if we need it? Certainly your main competitors service is still poor, whilst you provide a product that clients need, like & is competitive then we shall continue to support you as best we can. Been insured with these for 5 years having a family fleet policy, renewal was up today and had no correspondence of these to confirm if in insured or not, so decided to call for them to explain that the underwriter wasn’t doing family fleet no more and basically look elsewhere no apology nothing just left us to it ! Never had a claim £15000 over 5 years not a single sorry we can’t help

The past few months have been incredibly difficult for me due to the actions of brokers. It was a terrible experience that resulted in losing everything and nearly leaving me homeless. However, I am grateful that it didn't come to that because once I discovered the fraudulent nature of the company and their intention to take my money, I sought help to recover it. Along the way, I encountered several fake hackers, which made me realise that the internet can no longer be trusted.
